Why am I picturing some undergrown internet band (I’m sure there is something more technical than that, but it’s late and I’m tired) just like they had those ham radios to get western news in Russia back during the Cold War.

Get some rest and come back and explain who that works. Thanks. Sounds interesting.

Maybe use cloud computing. It is designed to not be decoded.

But I’m not a geek, but hubby would know more.

Heh...I'm having flashbacks to two decades ago....to the unrest in the USSR when they didn't cut the 'net connections at first, and I was helping to translate the information coming out. Wow...it might be radios to replace the 'net next time. And who knows, it might be Americans trying to get word to the outside world.

For this to work, you'd probably need an alternate DNS infrastructure.

Then again, they could take things down completely by shutting off offending networks, in which case, you wouldn't be able to get through, even if you had addresses to go to.

Time to look at fidonet again. Problem is, I don't even own a modem anymore.

We could communicate by YOUTUBE - sites that go up for a while and down quickly. Popular screen names could be used - so freepers could search easily... If we come up with enough ideas they won't know which one is working - or if all of them are working... Tea Party groups can also be communication centers...
