The left is desperate to erase our Christian hertitage. It enrages them when someone confronts their lies about our nation's founders.

Is it necessary that any one should [ask], “Did General Washington avow himself to be a believer in Christianity?" As well may we question his patriotism, his heroic devotion to his country. His mottos were, "Deeds, not Words"; and, "For God and my Country."

- Nelly Custis-Lewis (Washington’s adopted daughter)

“It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.”

George Washington

“What students would learn in American schools above all is the religion of Jesus Christ.”

George Washington. [speech to the Delaware Indian Chiefs May 12, 1779]

"To the distinguished character of patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian"

George Washington. [May 2, 1778, at Valley Forge]

Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God.

Ben Franklin's personal motto and his idea for what he wanted on the back of the great seal of the USA. (search for the phrase and you can see the seal)

There is a little hymn called CHESTER, written for the church at Chester, MA that pretty well explain our founders belief...It was sung in the churches and the tune was played by the fife players as the soldiers marched into battle.

Let's tyrants share their iron rods..and slavery clank her galling chains...We fear them not we trust in God. New England's God forever reign.

BTW my great X 4 grandfather served at Valley Forge. Family lore says Washington referred to him as the “little dutch man” and that he and a friend went into the German camps to spy (and visit relatives) and when returning they stole a white stallion, as a gift for GW, from the corral and stampeded the remaining horses. (It was reportedly the horse that Tully painted Washington sitting on.)
