Limbaugh To Wed As Hollywood Flirts With His Life Story

Getty – In this file photo, Kathryn Rogers [Pic in URL] and Rush Limbaugh arrive at the Will the fourth time be the charm for Rush Limbaugh? Limbaugh, 59, is set to marry 33-year-old girlfriend Kathryn Rogers on Saturday at the talk radio star's palatial Florida beachfront property. Although Limbaugh never seems at a loss for words, he's been uncharacteristically quiet about the pending nuptials. Fill-in hosts have taken over the show, with his website simply noting that "El Rushbo will be out until Tuesday, June 15th." However, Limbaugh emailed a statement to his local paper, the Palm Beach Post. "We try to live our lives as normal people," he wrote. "We do NOT seek media attention, we do not want it, especially for this. It is very special, obviously, and we just don't want any media attention." How about a plane flying overhead pulling a celebratory banner behind it? Well, that's what the gossip site Gawker.com has in store for Limbaugh, and it's took suggestions from readers about how to best wish him well on the big day. [Photos: See the celebrity couples who married last year] For Limbaugh, even when taking time off for personal matters, the spotlight follows. Deadline New York is reporting that a biopic is in the works from writer and produce James Sclafani. "This is 'Citizen Kane' meets 'Private Parts,' where you have a man who always had trouble relating to people in the outside world, but does it effortlessly in the booth," Sclafani told Deadline New York. For the script, Sclafani has optioned "The Rush Limbaugh Story," an unauthorized biography written by Paul Colford.

Rush is right IMO on most major issues, but dang, his personal life has been a mess. 4 marriages now plus an addiction to drugs? That’s some living.

I wish him the best, but I think he’s made a mistake. Hope I’m wrong.

"4 marriages now plus an addiction to drugs?"

Well, the marriages are indefensible. He should have learned his lesson after #1, and gotten a dog and been done with it.

But, it's not like he was strung out on heroin, or crack. He became physically dependent on a prescription medication that is WILDLY addictive. It happens to a LOT of people who have never broken a law, or even abused alcohol in their life. OxyContin is a powerful opiate. There's no two ways around it.

Love and best wishes, Rush.

Sorry that the news media is hell bent to invade your privacy.

All except the ‘make millions’ part. Libs can never support their own productions, and if it is a hit piece, Rush-babies won’t go.

I love Rush! Best wishes to him and his bride to be!

And to her divorce lawyer.I admire Rush greatly but his private life has been a disaster that shows no signs of abating.

Is that old wind bag still on the air?

You asked that question on another thread...surely you have your answer by now. But just in case you didn't "get it"...yes, he is still on the air.

Oh, I respect Rush and listen to him a couple of times a week. The marriages and drug addiction do puzzle me, though, and I do understand that an Oxy addiction is different than working the streets for crack.

I hate it when he is gone. My favorite guest hosts are Walter Williams and the late Tony Snow

Well that's a nice thing to say about one of our only allies in the media. I thank God everyday for Rush and the EIB Network. How long do you think it will be before the enemy tries to outlaw talk radio anyway? We need all the help we can get! If you're still in that McCain 'go along to get along' mode then you are part of the problem, not the solution buddy.

Please let us know when your talk show is on the air. I’m sure you’re much better than that “old wind bag”.

Surely she would still be interested in him if he were a Walmart greeter successful Palm Beach lawyer. Right?

Probably.
