Fine - when you are being held a gunpoint during a robbery, the cops will respect your rights and NOT come to the rescue ...

“saying he felt uncomfortable having a uniformed officer in the vegan cafe.”
I guess they have blocked 911 in their phones too.

Portland is the most far-left city in America. And that is saying a lot cuz there is a lot of competition.

If I were a criminal, I’d consider the place a target. If I were a criminal.
This is like putting a ‘kick me sign’ on yourself.

"I never expected an police officer to come into the space," he said. "If it happened again, I wouldn't serve him." I wonder if he and the other owner of the "vegan" cafe would be willing to sign affadavits refusing all services, in perpetuity, from the police.

Laff. To hell with that cafe’s owner. Hopefully they’ll be out of business soon.

Apparently the "Red & Black Cafe" is quite active in the Portland Indymedia scene.

So, I can go into this hippies’ store and beat the living *hit out of him and they won’t call the cops, right?

If I owned a biz like that, cops would get their coffee for free. I wonder if the idiot is that way toward uniformed military people, too.

Wouldn’t you think this idiot just opened himself up to a robbery? Does he really think the police would respound very fast?
I am familiar with the Portland Police......some of the best officers in the country.

saying he felt uncomfortable having a uniformed officer in the vegan cafe. Not as uncomfortable as BEING an Officer IN a vegan cafe.

No problem. The police ought to politely inform the owner that if they are robbed, vandalized, etc., they should call their anarchist friends for assistance, and kindly leave the police out of it.

John Edwards was right. There are two Americas. There's one that this idiot lives in, and everyone else lives in the other.
I don't believe I've ever wished armed robbery on anyone. This could be the first.
