But the incident has fired a reaction, with dozens of comments pouring into Seigneur's website. It's been so overwhelming that she took the blog post down but put it back up Thursday afternoon.
Dozens of responses overwhelms your blog? Sounds like the type of website where all the postings say: Comments(0) Trackbacks(0)
Something I haven't done in a long time.
Newsweek is where my libinlaw gets all her information, and claims to be informed because she reads it.
Great. Then encourage her to keep reading it. Hee! Hee!
Good
“Jon Meacham admits it is hard to explain, even to his own people, why chopping Newsweek’s circulation in half is a good thing.”
He can make it up on volume! LOL!
Oh, now, that would be DELICIOUS!
Yeah, but this woman has been rather remarkable in her
resistance to facts and logic.
“Newsweek is where my libinlaw gets all her information, and claims to be informed because she reads it.”
LOL! Don’t you just love that! I mean, afgter all, she read the little graphics telling her what’s “hot” and what’s “not”! :)
“Lovie, come quickly. There appears to be a U-Haul pulling in the driveway next door. Gadsss, riffraff moving in. They are driving a ...chevy...”
But there is a Newsmax magazine, and Town Hall that have recently come on the scene, so it's hard to see what they'd do with Newsweek that isn't being done with other consesrvative magazines. It might work, but it'd be like turning an ocean liner around, unless some really famous names such as Rush became associated with it.
Go for it, Newsmax Media ...
Time and Newsweek are in a whole different league from Newsmax or any other conservative journal and a lot of the core business would continue. Add in new subscribers and returnees who may have dropped NW and Time years ago for the same reason I dropped both of the city dailies in my area. Why pay money to be fed BS and made angry every day?
Anyway, I could be wrong but I think I understand what scares the exploded heads brigades.
I’m surprised anyone would want to buy Newsweek. It’s at rock-bottom and should be allowed to die peacefully.
At least once a month I get a “Professional Courtesy” offer for a subscription to Newsweak. A year for under $10. I haven’t taken them up on it and thought they must be desperate for new subscribers. Turns out they don’t really want subscribers. Someone should tell their marketing department to raise the subscription rate to $1000 a year as I’ve been a little tempted at $10.
I worked at an establishmen where Newsweek was a regular subscription for lunchroom fodder; picked up a few issues (I quickly learned the were a liberal/-far left rag); 2 issues later they were big into “Burning Man” the annual Pagan/ and Hedomism festival in the NV desert- then I KNEW they just weren’t liberal they were Satanic: They are EVIL!
