I agree they might have to cut off the bent riser, but after that I’d think they could make some special tool if they don’t already have one to take care of the flange bolts. From what I understand, they intend on just cutting the riser, then sliding a cap over the top relying on some rubber seal. Seems like we should have the NASA engineers on this. At least a consortium experts to assist BP.
