Sestak says White House has contacted his brother over job-offer allegation
Washington Post ^ | May 27 2010 | Paul Kane

Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) said Thursday that his brother has spoken with White House officials about the congressman's allegation that he was offered an Obama administration job if he would stay out of a Democratic Senate primary.

Sestak ran in, and won, that primary, defeating the White House's preferred candidate, Sen. Arlen Specter.

He told reporters Thursday that he would not expand upon his prior statements until the White House releases its report on the matter. President Obama said in his news conference that such a report would come "shortly."

Richard Sestak, the congressman's brother, who has served as his top political adviser and campaign lawyer, spoke with administration officials Wednesday, Joe Sestak said.

"They got a hold of my brother on his cell phone, and he spoke to the White House . . . about what's going to occur," said Sestak, who said he expects the White House will release its information Friday. He declined to elaborate on his discussions with Richard.

Specter is the weaker of the two candidates, but probably the Dem with the best name recognition in the state who's eligible at the moment. Swapping in Specter buys us 5-7 points.

That said, if Toomey can't beat Sestak, we can't win PA EVER. Toomey needs to quit with the "Admiral Sestak" crap. It's "Congressman Sestak." He's an incumbent -- if not for the office he's running for now. He's part of the beltway problem. He voted for every single bailout and even voted for some bailouts that didn't pass. He's a far left moonbat, and that needs to become public, and soon.

I would be interested to know what other politicians who pulled out of races are doing now. The NY-23 GOP candidate who pulled out... Is she working for the DNC or the Obama Administration now?

Now, Omoslem needs to call:

#1 Blago’s brother.
#2 Romanoff’s brother.
#3 Dodd’s brother.

.....and guide THEM TOO in covering up his bribes/felonies.

Can you say “Impeach the Affirmative Action Hire?”

Yea, thats what they would like for America to think. A simple apology for a felony because we are all just to tired to fight. The DOJ has a major responsibility here.

I understand your point, but MSM are still in print, tv, radio and internet business. Regrettably, several million voters still get their nightly news from abc, nbc and cbs.

I’m grateful for talk radio, the internet, Fox News and our forum here where we see the vast variety of all the news. The millions who aren’t members of FR are not nearly as informed as us, and that’s likely the reason talk radio hosts yammer about what was said by LSM.

“Who was the congressman thrown under the bus just before the health care vote?
Watch for the media to also paint Sestak as a unhinged pervert lunatic.”

That was Eric Massa, who actually IS a pervert, just like Rahm.

BUT this time, the WH needs to slander/smear a retired 3-star Navy Admiral (Sestak). I can’t wait to watch them try that.

Also, there’s a conga line of “lunatics” suggesting Omoslem committed felonies. Blago, now Sestak, Romanoff, and Dodd might also have been bribed.

Today, Omoslem can fill a 4-seat sports sedan with accusers. Before long it will become a tour bus... then over time, he’ll have a gymnasium full of cronies embroiled in various IMPEACHABLE scandals.

This is what happens when you’re a dirty moslem traitor usurper communist who hates Whitey b/c your WHITE MOTHER allegedly posed for porn magazines.

Maybe when Rahm called Sestak’s brother yesterday, he bought Sestak’s silence by bribing him with ANOTHER job.

The ‘cover-up’ is often proved worse than the orginal bribe or quid pro quo.

Our side had better not “move-on.”

Darrell Issa is not known to back down.

He’s not a lawyer, but he’s on the House Judiciary, but he’s without the members and power to do anything right now.

Unless I’m mistaken, I do not think he can “go rogue.”

Dick Morris was just on Greta and he said this is just up

PENN AG TOM CORBETT SHOULD EMPANEL GRAND JURY IN SESTAK AFFAIR

By Dick Morris 05.27.2010 By Dick Morris and Judge Andrew Napolitano

With a Democratic Attorney General in Washington, a Democratic president, and both houses of Congress solidly in Democratic control, it is obviously futile to hope that the possible bribery of Joe Sestak to induce him to withdraw from the Senate race against Arlen Specter will be fully investigated.

But, as the facts of this scandal grudgingly emerge from the White House and from Congressman Sestak, there is an alternative way to pursue justice.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General, Tom Corbett — who is the Republican nominee for Governor this year — has ample jurisdiction to convene a grand jury to get to the bottom of the scandal and answer the key questions:

1. Who offered a job to Sestak?

2. What job was proffered?

3. And did the president know of the offer?

Corbett’s jurisdiction stems from the concept of universal jurisdiction, now accepted virtually everywhere. The concept is simple.

If someone on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River fires a pistol across the Hudson and the bullet from the pistol hits someone on the NY side, where did the crime take place? For about 600 years, the answer would have been in NY, where the harm was caused.

Under the Reagan administration, and in response to urgings from the Meese Justice Department, the courts began to accept the doctrine of universal jurisdiction. This principle gives jurisdiction to law enforcement in the place wherever any act occurred that may have resulted in a crime. Thus, under our scenario above, the shooter could be prosecuted in NJ or NY.

Thus, if Cong. Sestak was in one of his homes, in PA or VA, when he received a telephone call offering him a job if he withdrew from the PA Senate primary against Sen. Arlen Specter, law enforcement authorities in PA and VA — both of which have Republican state Attorneys General — can subpoena Cong. Sestak to testify before a state grand jury and compel him to answer the who, what, when, and where that everyone has a right to know.

The people of the United States and, particularly the people of Pennsylvania, want these questions to be answered honestly. They will not settle for a Democratic stonewall that refuses to let the truth emerge.

Under our federal system, we need not tolerate giving one party the power to be the prosecutor, judge, defendant, defense attorney, and jury. We can open the process to checks and balances.

Corbett should make it possible for the truth to emerge by convening a grand jury and summoning Sestak, Emanuel, and anyone else who may have been involved to answer questions under oath
