RedState was all agog about Rudy Giuliani for President during the last Primary. They kept shooting down Rudy's dissenters - even purging a few - with “Strict Constructionists judges” talk, etc. etc.
I was the one who broke the news - yes, little old ME - about the George Will Interview a few years back where Rudy Giuliani not only endorsed abortion and PBA, but openly called Roe v. Wade “Good Constitutional Law.” They accused me of spreading a rumor.
So I bought the video transcript and posted it. It then wound-up in a Romney campaign ad against Rudy. Only some Romney folks (to their credit) were honest enough to specifically credit me for remembering this exact interview.
RedState’s response to me was, essentially, “This doesn't change anything.” They then continued to tout Rudy's pledge to appoint “Strict Constructionists” to the SCOTUS, ignoring the PROVEN fact that Rudy's definition of “Strict Constructionism” was RADICALLY different from a Conservative’s definition.
Now you can't even talk about homosexual rights issues, or Obama’s birth, or a few other topics............
That's why FR is still king.
