Arizona immigration law will boost crime in U.S. cities, police chiefs say

Arizona's new crackdown on illegal immigration will increase crime in U.S. cities, not reduce it, by driving a wedge between police and immigrant communities, police chiefs from several of the state's and the nation's largest cities said Tuesday.

The new Arizona law will intimidate crime victims and witnesses who are illegal immigrants and divert police from investigating more serious crimes, chiefs from Los Angeles, Houston and Philadelphia said. They will join their counterparts from Montgomery County, Md., and a half-dozen other U.S. cities in meeting Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. on Wednesday morning to discuss the measure.

The apostrophe was correct. “State’s” wasn’t meant as the plural of state; the plural in the sentence is chiefs. Police chiefs from several of the state’s (the state being Arizona) and the nation’s largest cities.

This 2007 law seemed to work well just down the road in Virginia. No one pitched a fit about this one, IIRC.

This is all total bull sheet, of course. IIRC, the amended version of SB 1070 prevents crime witnesses from having their immigration status checked.

Montgomery County Maryland is a classic example of socialist/Communistic philosophy ruining everything it comes into contact with. From the go-go 'Great Society' days of the 60's when LBJ was throwing money around like confetti, Montgomery County sought to soak up as many federal dollars as possible for their various boondoggle projects, and there were the 'planned communities' like Montgomery Village (in historic, crime-ridden Gaithersburg), which has turned into just one more third world snake pit 30+ years later.

Montgomery County is rated as the 8th richest county in all of America, and the median household income is over $90,000 a year, but they're all still collectively as dumb as a box o' rocks because they keep right on voting for 'Rats and anyone to the left of the late Abbie Hoffman, and if you want a supreme example of government interfering in the private sector, for more than 30 years, Montgomgery County has enforced what they call the "the Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit" zoning plan, which is a fancy way of dictating to developers that ANY new residential developments MUST include "affordable" housing for those unlucky saps that are making less than the aforementioned 'median' income. According to some liberal bureaucrat, the goal is to create (ready for this?) "socioeconomically mixed neighborhoods and schools so the rich and poor are not isolated in separate parts of the county.", in other words: COMMUNISM.

The entire State of Maryland has long been a 'Rat enclave with the exception of rural areas where common sense still generally prevails, the last time Maryland actually demonstrated any clear thinking at all was when the State ended up in the Republican column in the Reagan re-election landslide of 1984, when the 'Fritz Blitz' (HAR HAR) carried exactly one state: Minnesota.

When the Day arrives that Almighty God decides the State of Maryland needs a massive enema, you can bet that Montgomery County will be high on the list of potential nozzle entry points.

I like the folks out in Boonsboro and Sharpsburg, in Washington County. They seemed more down to earth than the locals in Montgomery.

On Fox just a half hour or so earlier. The group of “Police Chiefs” was actually a select group of “Progressive Police Chiefs”. They have their own special little group.

Lets see if the rest of MSM is sophisticated enough to spot that Holder got a bunch of other progressives to agree with him and the administration. DUH!
