NEW YORK (AP) -- After hours of contentious public comment, a New York City community board voted late Tuesday to support a plan to build a mosque and cultural center near ground zero.
"It's a seed of peace," board member Rob Townley said. "We believe that this is significant step in the Muslim community to counteract the hate and fanaticism in the minority of the community."

Humans need to understand that building a moslem zoo at Ground Zero isn’t “reaching out” to the Religion of Peace (TM).
A mosque isn’t a petting zoo. It’s more like a Zoo of Death where they keep the worst of the worst, the most violent animals that thirst for blood and hunt humans. The wild boars, the killer whales, the poisonous snakes.
Humans cannot coexist with violent bloodthirsty animals, nor should they.
