NOGALES, Ariz. - A travel warning has been issued from the U.S. consulate in Mexico after several unconfirmed reports of unauthorized checkpoints.

According to officials, some motorists who didn't stop were shot at and killed.

You’d have to be pretty stupid to go to Mexico these days, even on business. If I was forced to go because of my job I would make sure I flew in, took care of what needed taking care of, and fly out as soon as possible.

This report is all over the radio and television news in Arizona. It’s the sort of thing that can impact tourism for some time to come.
