Conservative female columnists have gone gaga over Sarah Palin. Shes a conservative feminist aka a pro-life feminist that still believes women were oppressed by men, didnt have equal rights and that suffrage and the social engineering that has propelled women en masse into what was once the male sphere of gender roles are all still good things.
Left wing, or right wing, feminism is still an ideology of female pedestalization female superiority. It promotes the same myths of female Strength and independence.
One conservative feminist, Townhall columnist Maggie Gallagher, wrote about a recent Palin speech she attended, in a column entitled Sarah Palins Girl Power:
Palin understands that she is building not just a new political movement, but a new cultural identity. She dubbed it frontier feminism, and it was the theme she carried through from beginning to end.
Well isnt that special. Palin is not just a feminist shes a FRONTIER FEMINIST.
She speaks emotionally as a mother, from the heart of motherhood, and she makes it what it should be: a source of power, not an admission of weakness or dependency, and a bond, the deepest bond among women.
See conservative women are no different. The appeal of herd bonding through the sharing of emotional experience is a source of power. Note how dependency is associated with weakness.
This association is precisely how the feminists appealed to the solipsism of the female mind to get them to embrace the ideological platform to destroy the dynamics of the Patriarchal nuclear family.

If Palin supported legalization of dope, Liberaltarians would ADORE her.
Hmm. So you think that women should be paid less than men for the same jobs [and I do mean the VERY same jobs] and otherwise be treated as less than men? I have a religion for you: Islam.
I think there is a strain of feminism, however miniscule, which is not contradictory to either Christianity or conservatism. Though I agree that most feminism is an exercise in female-superiority ... there appears to be a brand of feminism which is truly dedicated to legal equality of opportunity, and personal strength of character and faith ... not to the denigration of men.
That my wife is a strong, bright, capable woman does not detract from me in the least — it is a reflection of the household that I head.

A bit nutty, if you ask me. Frontier women were not known for daintiness. In pre-civil war Texas, they had to be pretty good with a gun in case the Comanches came to steal the silver/young children.
Not quite. Frontier men outnumbered women between twenty to one and ten to one for a century, and many of those women were disease-carrying prostitutes, aka "Frontier Feminists."
Hooboy - this is gonna be taken completely wrong, but: the act of submission is a voluntary placing of someone else’s priorities over your own. IOW, when Paul tells wives to “submit to your husbands”, he’s acknowledging that they have full power and authority over themselves, but that they should voluntarily let the husband be the final authority so that there is a final decider who will be held accountable.
Snake Doc, I’m with you. My wife of 24 years and 9 months is just like yours, and I’m prouder of her every day.

Marx said that capitalism must be destroyed because it enslaved women.
In reality, Feminism has done it by destroying the family and leaving liberated women dependent on government.
Weak attack on Palin and on conservative feminists.
Expect a counter and if I were the author of this I’d take cover.
You're commenting on the Old West Frontier period from, say the late 1860s to about 1890. The true Frontier period in America goes back to 1620.
And conservative blacks who say they are for black empowerment through conservative principles would upset you too, I suppose.
There was a good article posted here the other day about how 70 percent of single women, including single moms, voted for O’Bummer. Those voters lie at the heart of the welfare state. They are the vanguard for the bankrupting of America.

Women’s Voting Patterns in Election 2008
Unmarried women supported Barack Obama by a 70-to-29 percent margin, and they voted for Democratic House candidates by a similar margin 64-to-29 percent. These margins mean that unmarried women edged out both younger voters and Hispanic voters as the demographic with the strongest support for President-elect Obama.

It’s just a fact. No reason to get emotional about it.
Obviously, Feminism is lying to these women. We don’t want to pretend that there is a conservative version of Feminism, that’s for sure.
And what, exactly, are conservative men doing to help Sarah take back their country?
Those voices you hear telling you women are inferior are coming from the base of Feminism:
The place of the family as a shut-in petty enterprise was to be occupied, according to the plans, by a finished system of social care and accommodation: maternity houses, creches, kindergartens, schools, social dining rooms, social laundries, first-aid stations, hospitals, sanatoria, athletic organizations, moving-picture theaters, etc. The complete absorption of the housekeeping functions of the family by institutions of the socialist society...
