MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO REACH FACTCHECK STAFF ABOUT OBAMA’S PURPORTED COLB ARE IGNORED
The Post & Email has tried on several occasions to reach the staff at Factcheck.org, an organization which describes itself as “a nonpartisan, nonprofit ‘consumer advocate’ for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding.”
However, Factcheck refuses to answer questions about its August 2008 coverage of the “Certification of Live Birth” which it claimed “resides” at Obama’s campaign headquarters in Chicago. Obama’s attorneys have not claimed that the original has been revealed as they filed briefs in answer to the numerous lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility; rather, they have attempted

I recall this bunch from Election 08, there so called “fact checking’ consisted of posting a Obamao Campaign explanation for the issue in question.
“IL legislative record shows Obamao supported total firearms bans”

IIRC, they receive funding from one of those Non Profit Progressive Organizations that Glenn Beck is always prattling on about..
I got into a fairly direct and furious debate with the operators during election 2008.
I told them that they are profoundly biased and not fit to provide public advice.
They are definitely skewing the information.
Why can’t we hold it in our hands?

Yes, FactCheck indeed is very close to President Obama. They are a project of the Annenberg Foundation, the very same foundation which Obama worked for: Obama was a board member of the Annenberg Foundation, and CEO of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, through which he funded William Ayers to the tune of $50 million.

factlack dot org is a joke. I contacted one of their people in summer 2008 to see how they reconciled all the problems with Obama’s alleged COLB, such as the lack of a seal, registrar’s signature and the redacted certficate number. I was told that they took Obama’s certificate on faith as genuine and that they would not pursue the matter any further unless proof came out that Obama was born in Kenya. Inexplicably, only weeks later, they posted the infamous photographs to try to clear up the original questions I had asked about. No proof or claims about Obama being born in Kenya had come out. The only thing that had happened was that the HI DOH made it clear they weren’t going to confirm anything in regard to the COLB, thus it was safe to show a certificate number because it couldn’t be confirmed as genuine by the issuing agency. factlack’s other problem is that they were nailed by the EXIF data in their photographs which they promptly scrubbed. What kind of factchecking organization scrubs its own evidence??

Obama was vetted by Annenberg. But they have a history of being cronies and sugerdaddies for Obama AND unrepentent terrorist, Bill Ayers. Obama and the terrorist had Annenberg-funded offices near each other. Annenberg is the best the DNC could come up with to vet their candidate or Commander in Chief. Bill Ayers was a sworn enemy of US soldiers.
I always thought so, but I did some digging and was unable to come up with a connection. It appears they are independent.
Which is not to say they don't have their biases. They just aren't a bought-and-paid-for part of the network.
