You really need to keep checking our 44 blog for reports on the special election in Pennsylvania's 12th District from Sandya Somashekhar, who's been on the ground with the candidates. (I'm in Washington, monitoring everything in the big four primary states today.) Democrats can really afford only so many anecdotes like this one, of Democrat Mark Critz working the trail.
"I don't want to interrupt you, I just wanted to say, 'Hi, I'm running for Congress,' " he told two men in trucker hats and work shirts, who took his hand politely. Both Democrats, one acknowledged later he'd be voting for [Republican Tim] Burns and the other said he was undecided because of his displeasure with the Democrats' support of the health-care overhaul. At a nearby table, Richard Gray, 58, a machine operator, said he was a registered Democrat but would be voting for Burns because of his outrage over the health-care bill, which he believes was passed against the wishes of the people. "I'm fed up with the Democrats. It's like they know what's better for us than we do," he said.
This is a heavily Democratic district -- Critz could lose 30 percent or so of his party and win the race. But this confirms just how hard even that task will be.

What do the Democrats have to run on? Health care that everyone knows (except the Congressional Democrats) will raise prices? Support for illegal immigrants? Support for the VAT? Their record for creating jobs? The Cap-n-Trade legislation? Spending trillions bailing out large corporations? Trying to take over the Internet?
It’s no wonder you have Republicans tripping over themselves trying to get into the race. This is going to be a disaster for the Democrats (and some Republicans) when you have incumbents who can’t even win a primary.
Do we have a thread on this race?
This looks to be the PA elections return site.

These are generational Dems, not commielibs. This goes to Burns and you will see some panic in DC.
Pray for America
Ughh Critz is ahead.
Let’s wait till more than 1% of the vote is counted to get bummed.
What the hell is a Truckers Hat??
Freakin’ lib talk....
Kinda like construction boots... LOL
I do not think he can win. The Crats have all the Gov. EE’S Unions and blacks out in force. The Lib media has the inside scoop on the fix and they are looking confident. Critz is ahead early.
This is the district where Murtha insulted the voters yet they elected him anyway.
Guess these gomers never heard that their leader of the Dem Party’s name is Hussein.
The irony is that Burns ran an anti-Obama campaign, and Washington Dems embraced it (don’t want to lose this distract no matter what). This race had nothing to do with the “so called” anti incumbent mood, which every lib and news anchor is trying to push. The country is experiencing an anti Obama mood and this race more than anything typifies it.
world’s dumbest district.
Sorry, I live in MN with an Islamic CAIR terrorist supporter (Keith Ellison) who got elected from the dumbest ass group of voters (around the U of MN) who love to vote for socialist-Islamic terrorist supporter-black man, all rolled into one. And then don't forget, my illustrious state voted for Al Frankenschnotts, a clown & buffoon if ever there was one. Even with the corrupt votes, Frankenschnotts should have never even gotten 25% of the vote. Sorry, but I have to say that MN is home to the dumbest ass most ignorant voters.
