Just heard on Fox that Rand Paul won in Ky.
I am NOT anti-Palin - actually PRO-Palin. I have just been disappointed in some of her endorsements. You should understand that if you look at the whole picture.
I actually support her but have been a bit disenchanted with her selections (political). Instead of going by her (at least I think) beliefs, she took the political low road.
That makes her a bit less in my opinion - my opinion only. That does not mean that I don’t support her or wish her well.
I would still vote for her in almost all circumstances...
I really don’t look much to political figures as far as my vote goes...but I do look for conservative people.
Some require an assertion that the candidate believes that abortion should be banned by the federal government, the absence of an enumerated power or historical reference to support original intent be damned.
But how do you feel about her other positive endorsements?
How about her almost 100% conservative policy positions?
Like I said - I support her almost wholeheartedly! I was just very disappointed in some of her political endorsements.
Anything else, you have to answer those questions yourself...
Oh, I doubt that very much; Rand and Ron seem to have a very close and filial relationship.
I don't think that Rand thinks that Ron is a kook, he probably just thinks that Ron is a libertarian -- which Rand is fairly close to himself, other than being a bit tougher on Terror and Afghanistan and keeping State-level anti-drug laws on the books, and a bit more pragmatic of a Team Player with other Conservatives in the GOP.
On to the Generals in November! That was a good pre-game scrimmage, now let's go win the game!
The Republicans did nothing to bring any of this to light.
The Democrats won’t be so kind. By the time November rolls around, they’ll make sure Alex Jones, Justin Raimondo, Adam Kokesh and Chris Hightower are household words in every Republican home in Kentucky.
I don’t trust this guy. He is hiding who he really is.
He's a politician so I don't blame you :-)
And I hope that Senator Paul will feel an honorable debt of gratitude towards Governor Palin, because he certainly owes her.
Woo Hoo!
Yes...and I hope so! Was watching CNN to catch the tears but they did not flow for this preliminary election. They did show some wonderment though...heh.
Am going to go out on a limb and say that I think that Paul will win... So there...
“I liked what I saw. “
Really?
“Paul opposes the Patriot Act, wants to scale back American military efforts abroad and once called for the closing of the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay — hardly mainstream views within the GOP.”
The numbers who voted in the GOP primary versus the Dem primary is the important issue.
The Paulbots in the Tea Party came out to vote.
The mainstream conservative GOP voters stayed home in this primary and they will when it comes to the general.
You nailed it on Rand. He is a flake. The Justin Raimondo crowd...
It’s more than that. The way he spoke in the few clips I saw, it seemed he was trying to hide what he believes. My interpretation is he is a nut like his crackpot anti-Semite dad. I hope I am wrong.
...I’m trying too. I made some mistakes in the process, but, I stuck to my principles, and asked forgiveness when I was wrong. We’re all “created equal” when we’re born, but after that point we go in different directions. Sometimes our paths cross and we’re the same. and,,,, sometimes not...
...Well, so much for that psychological drivel, hope to see you around the FR jungle...(-:)
He picked a flake. So what is your point?
