Wishful thinking. No matter how ugly the general poll are this November at least 80% and probably closer to 90% of incumbents will win. The campaign finance laws give incumbents a big advantage, the good news is this year is the part of the cycle when gerrymandering is the weakest because they’re living on old district maps, 2012 when they’ve used the census data to re-arrange things will be the strongest part of the cycle.
