I find it remarkable that I took it on faith that GWB’s pro-life belief was going to influence the rest of his character so profoundly that it alone would be enough to make him the right man to be POTUS. Now notice that, although abortion is mentioned when there is a SCOTUS vacancy, the big issues for the GOP are the budget, crap and trade, amnesty, obamacare, etc. In fact, in a way, Obama used Stupak’s commitment to the pro-life cause to get his vote for obamacare.
Another strange irony (at least a double irony) is that the amnesty of 10s of millions of illegals who are mostly pro-life would make it almost impossible to do anything for the unborn, and that pro-life GWB fought so hard to pass amnesty.
There’s a lot of frustration in the ranks these days. And those most pained by it, are voicing their anger (if you will) and frustration over it.
It’s just painful to realize what an opportunity we had under Bush, and how that opportunity circled the drain prior to Obama coming on the scene.
Defenders of Bush can’t deal with that reality.
You are kidding of course, or maybe I'm too old to recognize sarcasm?
Latino Voters are the new backbone of the Democrat Party, and their abortion rates amongst them is second only to African - Americans. Goggle it.
