GOP Senate candidates cite concerns about Supreme Court nominee (Fiorina reserves judgment on Kagan)

...Campbell said that if he were in the Senate, he would vote “no” on the nomination — with the caveat that he would consider any additional information that emerges in the Senate hearings.

Orange County Assemblyman Chuck DeVore would also vote against Kagan’s nomination if he were in the Senate, his spokesman said, adding that DeVore would release a statement detailing his reasons later this evening.

Fiorina said she would reserve judgment until the vetting is completed.

“Given Ms. Kagan’s brief litigation experience, lack of any judicial experience and in light of some of the information publicly available about her record, the Senate must ensure a confirmation process that is fair, tough and includes a close examination of her career, writings and public statements,” she said Monday.

Looks like Fiorina responds like a McCain. The latest Survey USA poll shows her losing ground to both Campbell and DeVore. Where is the Palin bounce?

Like a typical liberal, Campbell is trying to sound at least moderately conservative. He’s full of crap.

Sonia Sotomayor was good enough for Carly Fiorina.

"Fiorina said she would reserve judgment..."

Out of ignorance, I presume.
Or she simply turn on the TV to learn everything she ever needed to know about that witch Kagan.

California is soooooooooo screwed! You folks are as bad off as us in PA..
Fiorina, DeVore, Palin. What is wrong with these clowns? Don't they do their homework? OK I'll give them a pass for a short time. Have they each read her moaning about how socialism has failed so badly in the USA, during her undergrad thesis writings, while at Princeton?
She is a Stalin useful little idiot with a sad twist on her sexual preferences. And the poser just loves her.

I really don’t have to know a thing about Kagan. She was appointed by Obama...enough said. Does anyone doubt for an instant that she isn’t reliably hard left? She’ll fit in nicely with the wise Latina. I could probably predict her opinion on every case for the next 30 years.

What is the link to the poll taken since the endorsement?

The more I hear from Fiorina the more I worry. She seems to have to retreat into her compound before making what are typically instinctive fairly easy decisions from a conservative standpoint. It is like Campbell who still hasn’t committed to repealing Obamacare yet he comes out with a fairly clear I would not vote for Kagan. He gains nothing by holding out on Obamacare. There isn’t strong support for it in California. However I suppose Kagan is an easy situation because he knows he won’t have to vote on her which makes Carly’s hesitation puzzling. Its like missing a softball and her whole campaign has been like that. Just like her comment that immigration reform “has a racist tone”. What is that? She supports AZ but it sounds racist? I feel badly for her, having had breast cancer and all. I really do but how in the hell can she win against Boxer if she cant get the basics right.

Found it, Campbell is up 1 to 35%, Fiorina down 3, to 24%, and Devore, up 1, to 15%.

There is no doubt about it, Kagan needs a sound Borking. I want to hear those dueling banjos playing some Deliverance music.

Best thing would be to wait till more facts are unearthed about Kagan, that would be a good strategy and Fiorina got it right.

No one takes Campbell seriously if he says he opposes Kagan.

While I don't kneejerk Sarah, I've found her to be remarkably consistant in conservative principles not just in the last two years, but her whole life. So when I was surprised by her support of Fiorina, I trusted her solid intelligant, conservative past to explain it. Meaning somehow there is a way to understand this without just saying she's a RINO or stupid, because neither of these things are supported by any part of her life.

What's left? The presidential fight against Hillary will be a fight for the middle - the left will go Hillary, the right Sarah, because Hillary will put stormtroopers behind Obamacare and Sarah will get rid of it.

So the fight is for the mushy middle, centrist, fiscal conservative or Kennedy democrat types - and especially the women versions that Hillary courts. So for them, Fiorina would be very valuable on Sarah's side.

People deride Palin as naive, while staring straight at her playing hardball. It makes me laugh.
