I am watching deadliest warrior, SWAT VS GSG-9 and they are on a hostage rescue.
Their orders are for each thug, 2 to the chest and 1 to the head.
Perps DRT.

Whoa! Just in time. I’m looking for some .50 BMG ballistics info beyond 1,000 yards. I have 1,000 yard info in my Barnes manual but can’t find info for ranges beyond that. I’m interested in retained velocity specifically.

Thanks for the ping.
I like Tom and I like his show.
Tom gets an occasional nut case or seminar caller and he always spots them right off and deals with them like the pro that he is.
However... I don't understand his default recommendation of a 9mm auto as a first handgun for beginning shooters. I was listening last week and a lady called and explained that she had some physical disabilities that made it extremely difficult for her to rack the slide on an auto pistol - whereupon Tom began to explain to her how to rack the slide on an auto pistol.
I say a good ol' revolver is the way to go for starters. If you want an auto, go ahead and buy it later and then you'll have one of each. Plus the .38 special is probably the easiest cartridge to handload for.
Why the fixation on the 9mm auto?
