United States President Barack Obama has lost nearly half of his support among American Jews, a poll by the McLaughlin Group has shown.

The US Jews polled were asked whether they would: (a) vote to re-elect Obama, or (b) consider voting for someone else. 42% said they would vote for Obama and 46%, a plurality, preferred the second answer. 12% said they did not know or refused to answer.

I think par of the problem is that Jewish people always claim to support Israel since it is fashionable in some circles. But when truth comes to dare, they always pull the lever for the dems since everyone on our side is always a racist, hates Jews, blacks, Hispanics and others.

Nothing has changed over the years(sarc). Sad to see.

Of course when Israel goes to war and we are the only ones to support them, then its a different situation.

Genoa, per our previous discussions, look through some of the snot-nosed comments on this thread. The RJC has a tough row to hoe.

They just have to disassociate themselve from the fringe elements. FR is a conservative forum, which monitors better than most on the internet, but clearly not an arm of the GOP, nor associated with them or their candidates.

BO has all the Jewish supports he ever wanted in G Soros, Rahm and Axelrod. He will go for the illegals to make up the difference in lost support.

And I did not say Jewish Americans are anti-American.

Liberal Jewish American are, as are most liberals.

I said, specifically that Jewish Americans seem hypnotized by anything anti-American. I think that’s true.

It’s an urban counter-culture mentality which runs deep. A reflexive support of anything which systematically tips the apple cart.

That’s not the same as accusing Jewish Americans of being anti-American. To the extent you might have reasonably interpreted what I said to mean that, I apologize.

But there’s certainly a “there” there.

Whether it’s PC to observe it, or not.

No, you said

It would be nice if American Jews woke up. But they won’t. They’re hypnotized by anything anti-America.

Start with me, demonstrate how I'm hypnotized by anything anti-America.

Then you can go on to other Jews. Including those in the ACLU (run by a Catholic), Hollywood, and trial lawyers. While you're at it, do you honestly believe there are no non-Jewish people in Hollywood making a dollar or two? The most prominent individual that comes to my mind is a Jewish fellow by the name of Givson, Gibson, something like that. No non-Jewish trial lawyers? And the Jew John Edwards, good thing he didn't win the nomination.

If you feel a need to pursue this, be my guest, but if your typing simply got ahead of your thinking, you might consider leaving it alone.

Exactly. BS on the poll. American Jews have encoded anti-Israel DNA and they will vote Dem in the end.

I work with them all the time here in L.A. in business and for all their religious grandstanding, and after conversations, they’re DEms from top to bottom.

Most Jews are part of the Democrat base, just like most blacks and most gays. They remain there whether the party actually has their best interests at heart or not. Blacks continue to "stay on the plantation" in spite of failed policies, and most Jews do, too. That's the "there" there. I don't expect that to change, based on my recent comunications with assorted liberal Jewish friends and relatives.

You don’t know what you are talking about. Jews really turned on Jimmy Carter and helped elect Reagan in 1980. Ironically, they moved back towards Mondale in 1984. . lol.

But Mondale was more pro-Israel than Jimmy Carter was.

This is just not true. Jews will vote for him 80 plus percent next time. More important, this extremely well off segment of our society will shower him with campaign money.
Obama is about to appoint another Jew to the Supreme Court, giving this tiny minority (2 percent max) of Americans 33 percent of the seats on the Court.

Don’t confuse grievance with rational politics. The Irish voted for the left in America for 120 years. In the UK, they still vote left.
