Sarah Palin Is A Republican Who Speaks At Tea Party Events Occasionally
Liberty Pundits ^ | May 7, 2010 | Melissa Clouthier

Many Sarah Palin devotees seem shocked that Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina for Senator. They believed Sarah Palin to be representative of the Tea Party–who all endorse Chuck DeVore.

Sarah Palin is first, a Republican.

Sarah Palin has shown loyalty to John McCain and Carly Fiorina is a friend to John. Perhaps she feels it’s only right.

Sarah Palin speaks at Tea Party events and likes certain principles, but by her own admission she does not represent the Tea Party. In fact, she arrived late to the Tea Party–it had been growing and thriving for months before her first speech at an event. She then signed on with Tea Party Express, whom many Tea Party activists view as a Republican organization (as opposed to a grassroots organization) to speak at the anchoring events.

Was it a good political move to endorse Carly Fiorina? Not for Sarah…and maybe not for Carly. This is California, after all, and Chuck DeVore has the Tea Party and serious conservative vote wrapped up. Some have speculated that this endorsement was a desperate move to shore up a failing campaign. Although, it looks like many big donors are going to move in to help Carly because they believe she has the best chance against Barbara Boxer.

Once more, I believe the establishment is wrong. First, they’re misjudging the grassroots sentiment. A Sarah Palin endorsement won’t win Carly Fiorina votes. It just won’t. And it’s condescending and tone-deaf to believe it will. Second, Carly Fiorina is not the best candidate–in the primary or the general.

I just don’t agree with her politically.

Of course you don't, she's a conservative and you aren't.

In today's climate I think a lot of conservatives would find fault with Reagan...and many of them are on FR.

Just my opinion and FWIW, I haven't picked a candidate...it's too early...but it won't be Ron Paul or Mitt.

So you appear to be a poll believer. Am I correct?

I’m trying to get your point. You have a poll so it appears you follow poll results. I do not, I make my own decisions based on my own research, not polls.

Now, are you done with this?

From the article- Many Sarah Palin devotees seem shocked that Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina for Senator. They believed Sarah Palin to be representative of the Tea Party–who all endorse Chuck DeVore.

I don’t believe Palin to be part of the Tea party either, but if she insists on backing RINO’s she can kiss the Tea party movements vote good bye.

The writer of the article is a liar, the tea party support goes to Fiorina, not Devore, and you are mistaken about Palin not being part of the tea party movement.

There is no single figure more associated with the tea party, or that attends more of them as far as I know, so she is clearly a part of the movement, more so than anyone I assume.

More than a Republican or a conservative, I think Palin fancies herself as a maverick and a reformer. She has an independent streak. She also may be loyal - to a fault. She and Carly struck up a strong friendship during the last campaign and she’s supporting her friend.

She appears to be caught up in her own fame. She may have at one time been a key figure or better yet a tea party supporter, but no more. She endorses McCain, why; she feels she owed it to him. This after McCain’s campaign failed and blamed the loss on her. She then up and quits her duty as Governor of Alaska because she couldn’t take the heat from the dems lawsuits. Now she endorses Fiorina, a RINO, because she says that Fiorina is the only one that can beat Boxer. These reasons are not what the tea party movement is based on, in fact just the opposite.

The Palin excitement reinvigorated the Republican Party and many conservatives, including myself. I had known about her before the Presidential elections and thought she was a great choice for McCain.

So it appears Palin no longer wants to be the darling of the conservative movement, i.e. tea party, she just wants to be another former politician in the news.

True. It was probably the smartest move she could make. Unite early around Fiorina and let’s beat Boxer.

So, it hasn’t really “given back to the cause.” I mean, SarahPAC gave $9.500 to candidates, mostly RINOs, after getting $100,000 from Tea Partiers and an extra $300,000 from others? It sounds like Sarah’s not exactly being “conservative” with anything, except her own money.

That can't be right, can it? People would be up in arms. The media would be all over it.

She may have at one time been a key figure or better yet a tea party supporter, but no more.

Get a clue, she just drew 20,000 tea partiers to the desert, she is the biggest thing in politics, and the leader of the conservative movement, and I think her endorsement will defeat Tom Campbell.

By the way Fiorina draws the tea party support, so you can quit playing that game.

So you speak for he entire tea party movement?

What game are you talking about, I merely stated my opinion based on my research not polls. I am not a follower as you yourself appear to be nor am I “playing games”. Follow Palin and you will be greatly disappointed just as the left is with the current puppet in chief.

That’s right, as I have not use for that kind of so-called “conservatism”. NOTHING could have convinced me to join forces with McShamnesty. NOTHING.

The left is following Palin and, yes, they are very disappointed she is so on top of her game. She will make mincemeat out of ANY commie candidate.

When Sarah speaks - EVERYBODY listens.

You cannot possibly know what she gives - so STOP with the BS.

SARAH is CONSERVATIVE - get over it, chump. NOTHING you do or say, can make it otherwise.
