Id like to tell you about a Commonsense Conservative running for office in California this year. She grew up in a modest home with a school teacher dad, worked her way through several colleges, and then entered an arena where few women had tread. Through a combination of hard work, perseverance, and common sense, she proved the naysayers wrong to reach the top of her field, where she led with distinction facing hard truths, making tough decisions, and showing real leadership through a rocky transition period. Where others had failed, her company had weathered the storm and settled on a stronger new foundation.
Her name is Carly Fiorina, and Im proud to endorse her for U.S. Senate.
Carly is the Commonsense Conservative that California needs and our country could sure use in these trying times. Most importantly, shes running for the right reasons. She has an understanding that is sorely lacking in D.C. Shes not a career politician. Shes a businesswoman who has run a major corporation. She knows how to really incentivize job creation. Her fiscal conservatism is rooted in real life experience. She knows that when government grows, the private sector shrinks under the burden of debt and deficits. We can trust Carly to do the right thing for Americas economy and to make the principled decisions she has throughout her professional career.
Please consider that Carly is the conservative who has the potential to beat Californias liberal senator, Barbara Boxer, in November. Im a huge proponent of contested primaries, so Im glad to see the contest in Californias GOP, but I support Carly as she fights through a tough primary against a liberal member of the GOP who seems to bear almost no difference to Boxer, one of the most leftwing members of the Senate. Carly needs our support in this crucial election year when we have a real chance of putting an end to the Pelosi/Reid Big Government agenda.
I hope youll join me in supporting Carly. Visit her website here, and follow her on Facebook and Twitter. Read up on her positions and plans to help get us on the right track.
California is still Reagan Country, and Carly promises her Reagan Conservative values will be put to good use for her state and for our great nation. Shaking it up in California is long overdue. Lets help Carly do it!
- Sarah Palin
On to DC, Sarah! But first, stop Boxer.
While very important, I certainly hope that there are many other reasons for supporting Fiorina
“With RINO endorsements like this it tells me she is picking the sure RINOs annointed by the GOP alleged leaders.
They have palin on a short leash. He only flex is on races the GOP does not care about. “
W I N N E R
Birds of a feather flock together.
“Whats your desired path to citizenship Sarah? “
AMNESTY
Well who in the Hell do you like then? You are getting a bit nutcake boring.
Are you talking about the California Senate race? I don’t think Newt’s a candidate.
About Newt. He’s a has-been, RINO. Just check out who he’s endorsed the past two years and then go even further back see who he’s gotten into bed with. THe pic with Hillary says it all.
I think Palin is the only person to really energize the base, the women’s vote and bring the independents who are having voter’’s remorse, to win the WH in 2012. If not her then a relatively unknown like Bachman or Pence.
Whats your desired path to citizenship Sarah?
AMNESTY”
And that’s my biggest argument against her. If you’re for amnesty or the codeword “guestworker program”, don’t call yourself a conservative. Period. End of discussion.
Palin would get beat like a base drum. She would make Goldwater look like a landslide. FIND A CANDIDATE
AND in Arizona.
Another reason she is finished as a serious conservative spokesperson - and that may be a good thing.
Wanna bet a 6 pack of Shiner?
Check back late November 2012.
LOL...a little blast from the past:
"A Reagan nomination, and the crushing defeat likely to follow, could signal the end of our party as an effective force in American life."-- IL Senator Chuck Percy
I started to say that she might be saving her money until closer to the primary, but it is barely a month away now. That means that she hasn’t been able to raise enough money to compete and in politics, if you can’t raise money, you can’t play in the big boys’ game.
She is right. Politicians spend other people's money so freely that they probably can't make rational decisions about it. They are also better at posturing and pretending to be working than actually doing anything productive.
The problem is how the GOP “selects” potential candidates. I asked the local GOP president how they screened people who wanted to put an R beside their name on the ballot and he said that basically there was no screening process. That must change because we had a lifelong Rat who suddenly changed his party affiliation to the GOP and then murdered state senator Tommy Burke in an effort to run unopposed on the ticket.
I bumped into her (not literally) this March at the Reagan Library taping of the Sean Hannity show. Everything about her... the walk, the talk, air, and dress reminded me of Cruella Deville.
I’m seeing the same problem here in SC, in the race against incumbent “Glenn Beck is a fearmonger” Inglis. Jim Lee, AF vet, tea party guy, grass roots no PAC money, only non-lawyer/academia person running, and some folks want to get behind the lawyer-bureaucrat who has the most money and name recognition instead of supporting the guy best for the job.
I’ll make it clear when we get closer. It’s much too early to decide yet. Two years is a lifetime in politics. Who ever I chose will NOT be an inarticulate rino like your girl though. That much I am sure.
My, this has turned into quite the Palin hatefest. I am definitely disappointed in this decision, but not ready to throw her in the harbor. She’s still the most influential conservative out there and it will be interesting to see how things evolve as we move towards 2012.
