I don’t see them doing well in London itself

It’s interesting watching the coverage and knowing there’s so many similiarities between the US and the UK, but so many differences as well.

I don’t know why in 2010 they still count ballots by hand. If they had computerized voting they’d been done hours ago.

But I do like the way all the candidates stand together when the result is announced. That’d be a cool thing to see here.

I don’t think they need a majority. There’s enough small parties that are pretty similar that as long as they come within 15-20 or so they should be just fine.

I need to go to bed shortly.

My prediction: Tories - 320 (326 needed for an absolute majority).

That's my feeling. And Cameron would be pretty happy with such a result.

Personally I think it sucks. But that’s my opinion. I’d rather be hanging out at a hotel partying with no liberals allowed. All the candidates are in the same room with their respectives supporters - like who wants to be in the same room as a liberal?!?!?!?1?

That’s probably a very accurate guess. Good night.

It not be exactly what he wanted but as that famous Brit Michael Jagger reminded us “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need”.

It should be enough to allow him to govern with support from the Northern Irish parties.

At this point the Tories have 230/467 which extrapolates to 320.

I’m sure they do that afterwards. I just think it adds a bit of class to the proceedings. Seeing how no one knows the result until it’s announced live and everyone finds out at the same time. You see everyone’s reaction. Great drama.

Imagine FL 2000 with Bush and Gore both standing on the same stage hearing the numbers announced.

One thing for sure is these BBC announcers pull no punches. I’m surprised they don’t ask some these Labor people if they’re going to home and snuff it in the morning per A Clockwork Orange.

Why is the city of London holding back the results?

440 of 650 declared

Conservatives need to win 109 of 210 remaining constituencies or 52%.

They're running 48% so they'll be short of a majority.

Celctic and Rangers is a sectarian struggle,
