It may not be much money at all. There's always blackmail. Its just like the good little church ladies who visit prisoners. First, the prisoner asks to borrow a pen to write his dying mama. Next, he'll ask for something else. The stakes get higher until the good little church lady balks at a request. Nope, sorry lil' lady, but you've already committed countless crimes, the first being the pen and how embarrassing it would be to have the congregation know. The prisoner then knows he can get anything from her through blackmail. Slam dunk.
At one point I told Okubo that it would be very good for her to cooperate with law enforcement before it went any further.
I initially thought that Okubo and Co. were just trying to do their jobs and were blackmailed. I’m not so sure any more. The evidence I’ve got suggests that somebody there may have been doing an inside job from the very beginning. We’ll see if that pans out. I can tell you for sure that they and the OIP are circling the wagons at this point.
