Democrats unveiled a 26-page proposal on immigration Thursday evening that closely follows a bipartisan draft hashed out by Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) earlier this year.
Here are the main points:
* Enforce borders: The lawmakers plan to increase the number of border patrol officers and provide them with better equipment to detect fraud and smuggling. They also want to install ground sensors throughout the southern border to make it easier to detect illegal border crossing.
* Free up jails: The proposal calls for the deportation of illegal immigrants currently detained in federal and local prisons. Going forward, judges should minimize detention when possible.
* Verify workers: The Social Security Administration would begin issuing fraud-resistant social security cards that include a unique biometric identifier. Employers would have to verify work authorization using the new biometric system.

Transparent, underestimation of the stupidity of the conservative members of the AZ lawmakers. Not gonna werk.
I'm skeptical, to put it mildly.
* Legalize immigrants: For the 12 million illegal immigrants already living in the United States
Amnesty. ...and it's more like 20 - 30 million.
* Legalize spouses:
And their children. ...which adds another God-only-knows how many tens of millions more.
Until they actually enforce borders nothing else can be accomplished (well except for the benefit of Democrats).
I have absolutely NO faith that anything the Congress does will actually enforce the borders. Therefore, everything else they (any Congress for that matter) promise is just bunk!
Except the promise of amnesty. THAT promise (to legalize the however many millions of illegal aliens already here) I believe.

Why Cant this be done right now without new legislation.
As for the card what if you are a retired person will they be forced on them too. It makes it seems as if the ID card is for woking individuals however if it is for resons I think it is.. for tracking your every move than every person would have to get one they don’t seem to be too upfront about that. Also what exaclty does biometric mean
in this case fingerprints?
Well, just what is the incentive against illegal immigration (whether individual or coyote)?
Just ship them in at a nice price - but if you get caught, you will only be deported. No problem, just gather another couple thousand and we will try again.

The Social Security Act has no provision requiring number holders to comply with an effort to issue a new Social Security card, much less with a specific request that number holders who already have a card prove their citizenship or noncitizen status. Before undertaking such an effort, legislation would be needed to ensure compliance by current number holders. Through the regulatory process, we would allow public comment on new policies that would be needed to implement the legislation. However, without a legislative mandate and appropriate sanctions for noncompliance, we could rely only on voluntary cooperation and it is unlikely we could accomplish the goal of issuing new Social Security cards to all living number holders.

These people are one of America's most dangerous 'chicken-egg' enemies. The powers that be are as aware of their worst instincts, as the useful idiots at bottom of their food chain are not. They do share, however; the same morally vacant and viral, ideological and inescapable narcissism by which they are so moved to recreate our world in their image.
They promised us 'health care' (bunk). . .and we got it. The 'bunk' of course, stopped at their door.
Am wondering if 'Congress' members would be exempt from the FULL National ID card; or perhaps, they would just exempt themselves in entirety. Surely, they have no 'real' intention of being included in this population of marked citizens that they propose for the rest of us...
Here in Texas, when you get your driver license, you have to do a thumb print that is apparently digitally put in to the dps system. So, to me, that would mean that my dl is already a biometric form of identification. So I’m wondering how many other states do this, and why would there need to be another form of bio id?
