Problem with that pesky FIRST AMENDMENT...

Look, I don’t like them any more than you do, but all three branches of government would have to be in agreement on it. AND the order would have to come from the top.

Know anyone in politics RIGHT NOW who would be willing to give that order? I don’t.

Can you imagine the eruption of outrage that would ensue? Do you call out the National Guard and declare martial law?? Because that’s what would happen, and that’s what it would take to get it done.

First Amendment allows jihad promoting and planning?

I guess we’ll have to wait until tens or hundreds of thousands of Americans are dead.

Like many have said before, it’ll take another 9/11 for our government to get serious about fighting Islam(ic terror) in America.

“Problem with that pesky FIRST AMENDMENT...”

First amendment does not give any non-citizen a right to immigrate to or stay in the US.

Your practical arguments are better. Wait until there have been a couple more successful terrorist attacks—by citizens. It will be easier than you think.

Not the First Amendment.

Article I Section 9 Clause 2:

The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.

First, we would have to call foreign terrorist cells in the United States an "invasion" or "rebellion." Then we can suspend habeas corpus.
