Maybe the Taliban want their trophy for ‘participation’...

Obviously, someone is working on their "bombing patch", and now they're not gonna earn it. Silly terrorists, don't they know you're supposed to practice this at home before you submit it for judging????

Hey Roxy,
Why are you here posting instead of being downtown sweeping the streets?

Because I am not Dutch and do not want to go ANYWHERE near that crazy place. LOL. Got home yesterday to a bunch of tourists clogging my street to look at tulips!

I knew you weren't dutch, at least on your paternal side.
I'm not dutch either, but my mom is.....

Last week Monday I took dad to a doc there. The tulips on the road edges were real shabby compared to previous years. The bulbs probably should be dug up, split, and replanted.
Bet the city budget can't handle that.

Don’t kid yourself...Zero is pleased as punch about the oil slick. He wants it played to the max because he wants to shut down all oil exploration.

Yes, why do we let them in? We have our troops over there building schools and acting like a foreign HHS department while we welcome potential terrorists into the US with open arms! Makes no sense whatsoever.

"Exactly. A classic case of Occam’s Razor for sure."

Less than two weeks ago a prominent American-Muslim, and outspoken advocate of Jihad, issued a thinly veiled threat to Comedy Central. Yesterday, a car bomb was placed almost directly (and as close as logistically possible) in front of Comedy Central's office. To me, Occam's Razor would point to the guy who issued the threat, or to people who look to him for "guidance".

If I was a betting man, I lay money that it was a home-grown terrorist(s) connected in some way to Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, who "warned"...

We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.

It's an AWFULLY big coincidence, don't you think?

This statement from Pakistan was PRERECORDED BEFORE the bomb was planted. They did not expect it to fail.

I agree. I expect it to be some lone, American-born Muslim goober of Middle Eastern ethnicity, conducting his own personal jihad, quite possibly connected to the Southpark episode.

MS 13 has a big presence here in Nassau County. Nowhere near as big in NYC. This bomb makes no sense for MS13. They’re in the biz of making illegal money through drugs, They target their rival gangs like the Bloods or Crips or latin Kings. Planting a bomb on 45th Street does nothing for the gang. The fact tht the propane/gasoline combo has been used in the UK on several occasions by jihadists gives cred to this Tally tape. Also the fact that it was prerecorded would give the speakers prior knowledge of an event that hadn’t yet ocurred.

I wonder if the Nappy headed ho in Homeland Security will change her statement now that muslims have owned up to it. This will blow their, “it was the right wing meme” right out of the water.

Maybe it worked just the way they intended.

Since they left the hazard lights going and the motor running I came to that same conclusion. This was a warning, IMO.

"I agree. I expect it to be some lone, American-born Muslim goober of Middle Eastern ethnicity, conducting his own personal jihad, quite possibly connected to the Southpark episode."

The only qualifier that I would add is that I'm not necessarily predisposed to believe that it is indeed a "lone-wolf". While that's certainly a possibility, I think it's an equal possibility that there was more than one person involved, only because as I understand it, this man that I referenced has a significant following in the NY area.

I think sometimes we give Al Quaeda too much credit for its "sophistication", and therefor immediately discount people who we would characterize as unsophisticated. In fact, they (Al Quaeda) have been quite crude in some of their attempts on US soil. Yes, the bomb isn't very sophisticated relative to the car bombs found in Afghanistan and Iraq. But, unlike like those places, America is not awash in a sea of readily accessible military-grade explosives, primarily because we haven't been the theater of war for last 6 decades, which is not the case in both those other countries.
