'Perspectives' forum to feature Sarah Palin, Howard Dean

Two former governors, Sarah Palin of Alaska and Howard Dean of Vermont, will headline the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce's "Perspectives 2010" event.

The annual public affairs forum, in its 16th year, is scheduled Oct. 15 at the Sacramento Convention Center.

Palin entered the national political scene in 2008 when Sen. John McCain selected her as his vice presidential running mate. She was serving her first term as Alaska's first female governor.

Dean, a physician, served six terms as governor of Vermont. He is the former Democratic National Committee chairman, a 2004 presidential candidate and founder of Democracy for America.

"We have great pride in how we balance our speaker lineup," Matt Mahood, chamber president and CEO, said in a news release. "The goal of 'Perspectives' is to offer just that -- points of view on major themes echoing through the world's headlines."

The forum typically is attended by about 3,000 of the region's business leaders.

In addition, Palin will be speaking in Dallas tonight at a fundraiser that will benefit a new women's center in uptown Dallas.
Tomorrow morning, she's speaking in Clarkston, Michigan at the “Defending the American Dream” Summit for the Americans for Prosperity (mentionedd above), and then later that evening, she'll be delivering the keynote address at the “Preserving American Liberty” Conference in Kansas City . She speaks in Wichita on Sunday at a fundraiser for the Bethel Life School.
She already gave a speech in Austin (the most liberal city in Texas) last night, in fundraiser for Heroic Media, as reported by James Armstrong here .

I don't care what James Brown says, Sarah Palin is the hardest working woman in show business right now. I don't know where she gets her strength from.

From what I briefly observed, Palin could walk twenty miles with a full pack and fight than a battle that lasted all night. Some people are all kinetic energy.

“Dean, a physician, served six terms as governor of Vermont.”

No he didn’t!

He spent most of the last term traipsing around the country sucking up to the Demo money barons and using the state-paid trooper/driver for his New England soujorns.

Maybe Gov. P should ask him if he ever paid off his staff whom he dumped when the campaign went to hell!!!!!

Hey, Howie! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

LOL> Howard Dean is crazy and he can go bezerk and scream, but he’s better mind his manners in Sarah’s presence or she’ll make a Biden out of him.

LOL.

“...Sarah Palin is the hardest working woman in show business right now. I don’t know where she gets her strength from.”

True! And not only that. I saw her on TV on Thursday evening when one of the FNC shows had her say a few words from location somewhere in her marathon-like itinerary. I thought to myself how beautiful she is; and it seems like she is THRIVING in this workload she has been carrying. I don’t know about you, but travel wears ME out!!! God bless, strengthen and protect Sarah! Amen.

She’ll reduce him to Joe Biden status.

Howard Dean had better use his best manners or he’ll end up looking more foolish than he’s ever looked and that’s going some.

It’s not really a debate format. There will be a series of speakers, usually selected from the most important voices of the year. I’d guess Sarah will refer to Dean and get some licks in, but not get to debate.

Yes, I understand that, but if he speaks first and insults her, she’ll reduce him to Biden status, so he’d best bring his good manners with him.

Well, at least I know who will be "talking sense" and who will be "talking nonsense" ... and I don't have to tell you which one ... :-)

As long as it’s not Head to Head; Dean would be a no show!
