Staging this campaign will cost money. But "the Rev" doesn't have many worries on this score. His New York-based nonprofit group, National Action Network (NAN), continues to receive financial support from some of the nation's biggest and most well known corporations and unions. This was very much in evidence at NAN's four-day 12th annual conference, his biggest fundraising event of the year, held earlier this month in New York City.
Sharpton in recent years has revamped his public image in an effort to attract mainstream support. That he has become in short order a confidante of President Obama says much about the success of this makeover. The old' rabble-rousing Al Sharpton, say defenders, is a thing of the past. In its place is a "new" Sharpton, more mature and pragmatic, willing to search for common ground among people of different viewpoints. But as I argued in my Special Report of last year, "Mainstreaming Demagoguery: Al Sharpton's Rise to Respectability," his menacing brand of "social justice" remains just beneath the surface, ever waiting to erupt at a perceived provocation.
The following is the full list of 45 sponsors of National Action Network's 12th annual conference, all of which are named in the conference program:
1199 SEIU (i.e., Service Employees International Union Local 1199)
32BJ SEIU
Advent Capital
AFSCME
All Stars Project, Inc.
American Honda
American Postal Workers Union

The Coca-Cola Company
Colgate-Palmolive
Comcast

The Williams Capital Group
The leaders of these organizations, whether consciously or not, are bankrolling Sharpton's pending Arizona campaign. According to NAN, sponsorship requires a minimum contribution of anywhere from $5,000 to $100,000. Thus, these sources are highly significant.

Folks, the time for civil discourse is fast running out and a civil war is looming. And the blood be on the head of Barack f**king Obama and every democrat in the country.
Why would unions want illegals here? Is it because illegals would vote Democrat, and Democrats keep money flowing to Unions?
Boycott time..
That’s the only reason I can think of, Dems want their votes.
Sharpton=afroturf
yes.
I would propose that some of those corporations are shakedown victims, not that it’s a good excuse.
Mexicans have their own country. I can’t understand what the problem is with asking someone if they are a legal resident.
How many of these people who can’t understand and or speak English are here illegally. Likely, most of the them.

Looks like Rev. Al is running a protection scheme.
I wonder how Al’s alleged constituents, black Americans, really feel about this? It is blacks who are hardest hit by the invasion from south of the border. Entry level jobs don’t exist for young blacks, while older people are finding it harder to hang onto the jobs they have in the face of illegal competition. Social services are also being hard hit and diluted, especially when Hispanic racism and favoratism (the dirty secret of the immigration debate) are taken into consideration. Perhaps we shouldn’t have these services at all but as long as we do have them, I think everyone can agree that American citizens should have first claim on them.
There is a great deal of black/brown violence in the big cities, of course. The white-run media tend to dismiss this as drug-related gang activity, and a lot of it is, but I have to wonder just how much is a kind of vigilante action by people who know their government has abandoned them.
I think actually, any business who’s workers are represented by SEIU should be boycotted. On top of that make sure the businesses are made aware of it.
I just went to one of their sites.

on it,Obama orders unionization
Obama signs executive orders mandating coerced-unionization.
Bottomline: Global corporations will do whatever they need to do to remain profitable, including breaking up the United States; after all, there is nothing wrong with making profit.
No doubt you’re right, he and Jackson have shakedowns down to a science.
The difference between the two political parties are what?
Yep, you noticed that. Steele spoke at Sharpton’s NAN hoohah.
I really don’t think Sharpton is coming here to Arizona. When we had our Phoenix and Tuscon Tea Parties, there were no thugs from SEIU, or anyone else like them. We will kick their ass, and they KNOW it.
