Sam Tanenhaus, editor of The New York Times Book Review and Week in Review, and the author of the book, The Death of Conservatism, went on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC talk show Monday night to discuss her being featured in a fundraising letter from the right-wing John Birch Society. But the friendly chat soon veered off into a comparison of the nationalist John Birch Society to the Tea Party movement, with Tanenhaus confidently proclaiming there are no serious ideas left on the right.

there are no serious ideas left on the right.
...there are no serious ideas left at the NY Times...or else their circulation numbers wouldn’t be dropping like a stone.
Extremist is precisely what we Tea Partiers are NOT.
there are no serious ideas left on the right.
Disagree:Some of the Tea Party ideas:
1) Smaller, more effectual government as opposed to a bureaucratic ,lumbering giant.
2) simplifying the tax code to benefit small businesses, the largest private employers in the economy
3) end the fed creating REAL economic growth rather than a perpetual boom-bust cycle
4) letting states take the lead in issues like medical reform and let those states that are the most successful be bench marked by others.
5) Term limits for congress and the senate because government service is not a career.
6) Drill baby drill so we are not muddled in Mideastern affairs for eternity
It’s a race to the bottom..will Maddow’s viewship dissappear before the NY Trmes loses another 250K readers.
Sure there are... plenty of them...
In the 2000s, we are saddled with the "Know-Everythings".
Sam, I want you to remember what you said when we take control and put you on a paving machine during our glorious reconstruction and recovery period from the Obama Tragedy Years..... You will be paving a tank lane beside a massive 50 foot high continuous double border with Mexico!
Apparently Sam learned nothing from his work on Whittaker Chambers...
Apparently, he still thinks Alger Hiss was innocent.

“Etremist”? “known-nothing”?
A two-point play by the Party of Irony! This day’s game began with a score by the king of irony, John Kerry for declaring something unpatriotic...
I’m pretty sure Nachum has lost his sense of introspection. But i guess that is how one rises to the top of the Leftist Elite World. Say it and don’t look back.
