On Wednesday St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman ordered a boycott of publicly funded travel to Arizona. The order was given by the mayor in protest of the new immigration legislation adopted in Arizona.
The new Arizona law allows law enforcement officers to question people about their immigration status if they have reason to suspect they are in the country illegally. It makes it a state crime to be in the United States illegally.
Coleman said the law is rooted in hate and fear.

Doesn’t I-35 terminate in MN? Let’s give MN a taste of the problem and see what their response is.
St. Paul has a history of cooperation with modsters/criminals.
To MN Governor:
You elected Al Franken as Senator.. and one of your predecessors was Jesse the body Ventura.
Who can trust or CARE about anything your state has to say.
Do they have referendums in MN? Maybe the TAXPAYERS like the LAW.
so let me get this right
these mayors never boycotted san fran and other cities which broke the law.
they are now saying that they do not like the law being enforced and therefor call for a ban
there fore they are saying that it is OK to break the law and be here illegally
now imagine if we had a fair media and the GOP had a balls ot voice their opinion
there is no way AZ can back down and it proves that the rats have now decided that the rule of law should not be applied and that it is OK now ot break the law
I want a divorce.
Is this even legal? Can the mayor do this purely arbitrarily on his own crooked authority?
Yep, both St. Paul and Minneapolis are sanctuary cities....
Thanks, we have plenty.....
Childish behavior. Grow up, mayor.
“”””Yep, both St. Paul and Minneapolis are sanctuary cities....”””””””
So they have declared that it is not illegal to be illegal here.
It is like a brand new civil war based on a modern form of slavery.
What’s in MN to visit anyway?
You’d think US citizens in many states would be applauding this AZ law —
Even the die-hard leftists I know in places like NYC, MA, Chicago, and of course here in So Cal, are HAPPY about the AZ gov’s decision.
Just WHO are these people in places like St. Paul who are in such opposition? I think they are the business owners who have paid to import these illegals for cheap labor. The illegals are in virtually ALL states now.
A friend of mine from NY, a big lefty, was scandalized some TEN years ago when she’d be taking red eye flights home from LA and the flights held dozens of Hispanics in all manner of dress, most huddled in blankets. It was a third world mess. She wondered where they were going — well, now she knows — they were going to HER area!
Exporting illegals to far flung US locales has long been big business — they have invaded states ALL OVER the country by now. I was stunned to see them in Maine, for heaven’s sake!
from the DFL Party (since Minnesotans apparently don’t think the national Democrat Party is far enough to the left for them, dontcha know...) Having the same last name as former Republican St. Paul Mayor and Minn. Senator Norm Coleman is apparently a coincidence.
Q: Why can’t Minnesotan’s make kool aid?
A: They can’t figure out how to fit 2qts of water in the little packet.

Whats in MN to visit anyway?
—
In the sticks or in the suburbs? :-)
I’m from lake&farm country, still got loads of family back there.
Great fishing, just bring skeeter spray.
I imagine the summers can be pretty nice, but in the winter?
I’ve seen the weather reports on TV and when the temperature has to go up 70 degrees just to hit freezing, thanks but no thanks.
Just sent him a message and told him that I had change my summer plans for visit and the state as well.
