The headline is all that's up at the present time.

Different scenario - while the GOP backed Crist from the get-go, local GOP offices and the people of Florida have backed Rubio since the start. We did not care who the “good old boys in the GOP wanted. This is why Rubio garnered and kept such a substantial lead over spray-on-tan boy.
In fact, it became so contentious down here the head of the FLGOP was ousted from his seat over this (and other) issues.
This will not be another NY-23.
Exactly - for everyone who is screaming that Rubio came about for illegals, or he didn’t read the Arizona bill or somehow is pro-illegal immigration missed exactly what he was saying. This administration WILL try to use the bill as a means to pass their pro-illegal immigrant amnesty boondoggle.
Rubio understands this for what it is and clearly said so.
His political career is over.
CNN and AP successfully spun the story and were able to fool the weak minded. we must never forget CNN LIES!
I agree. This is a great day for OUR party. No more “big tent” for these Obama hugging Rinos. We will win this party back or we will sack it on the way out.
Guess reality made them change their mind. When he was up 20 points on Rubio, they were singing Charlie’s praises and endorsing him full fledged. ROFL. Cornyn, keep the NRSC the HELL out of the primaries.
Yep - conservatives should know better than to listen to a 30 second sound byte from CNN or MSNBC.
Rubio was clear in what he said and I have no problem with it. He is right - it IS the federal governments repsonsibility to enforce immigration laws and or borders when they fail in that the States take drastic action.
Rubio is not pro-illegal, he does however understand (being from Florida) that illegal immigration is not simply a black and white issue. Anyone who thinks it is is fooling themselves.
I know people here who have lived in the US for over 40 years - whose children have served, honorably in our armed forces, who own homes and businesses but because of beauratic snafu’s, lost paperwork or pure laziness on the part of the Gov. they have gone from legal residents of the US awaiting their citizenship to illegal status.
No, that is not all of them but it happens all too often. I’d like to hear someone explain how that one facet of the illegal immigration issue can be justified?
A few simple measure would do wonder for our illegal problems.
Secure the borders
Kick out those who came here illegally or anyone here legally who has ties or is a part of MS-13 and other gangs.
Go after people who hire illegals over Americans
Prohibit anchor babies from gaining immediate citizenship
I think we’re all frustrated so it’s no problem at all
Good. Another progressive exposed.
The dirty rat.
There’s not a chance that he can win, but he wants to pull a Scozzafava and throw it to the Democrats.
Let’s hope he can’t even do that.
I hope he loses by a landslide.
Good Gawd people, get a grip! How long must we travel down this conservative witch-hunt? Now Rubio is relegated to “moderate” or “RINO” because of one statement? Sheesh, thank goodness I don’t make my living in the public spotlight.
Look, the AZ bill helps enforce the current immigration laws..we all know that. However, there is a perception (howbeit wrong) among certain people that the bill amounts to some type of racial profiling. Now we can sit here til we’re blue in the face and arguing the mertis of the bill, but if we fail to get the public to understand that this isn’t the 1950’s/60’s, this argument in is vain and the media will continue to control the issue to the masses.
Rubio is a good conservative guy. But like a lot of conservative candidates, he hasn’t a clue how to articulate this point out effectively. The people I keep trying to explain this bill to want to equate it to the police brutality acts of the 1950’s/60’s on African Americans. What’s more alarming is that people born in the 1980’s+ beyond the pre-civil rights era carry the same perception.
It’s a very very strong perception that can only be addressed through education and a lot of patience.
Maybe Rubio’s heritage has something to do with two-stepping around the bill. It shouldn’t, but don’t throw him under the bus just yet.
Carole Keeton McClellan Rylander Strayhorn of Austin remained a nominmal “Republican” comptroller of Texas during 2006 while she ran as an “independent” for governor. She later switched to Democrat, I believe, which had been her original party.
I wonder though about this biblical verse that says “the meek shall inherit the earth.” It may be music to candidate Meek’s ears. And FL has a huge “democracy” that shows its strength every time liberal Bill Nelson is on a ballot.
Here is, yet again, a politician who is interested in only serving himself, not the American people. Some people just can’t take “no” for an answer. I’m losing faith in all of our elected officials.
not throwing him under as I have donated and done a lot of work here getting him to where he is.
I called this morning and spoke for about 10 mins and asked him about this.
My frustration is not with his stance per se but because I feel he or his staff have not read the bill correctly
for 5 mins we went back and forth over the can the cops stop people when ever they want and ask for status.
He thinks they can I think not and that is why I believe we need to call his office and make him understand that who ever told him this is doing a disservice to him andhis campaign
Also emotions are high because I think many in fact most in this country are not pissed off with what this man obama is doing.
He seem to have gone off the deep end with hsi comments , Today he was saying how eh thinks some have made enough money
the other day him saying how he wants blacks hispanics and women to come out and vote.
where is whites and white men in that. That was racial politics .
The other week him saying that the GOP will try and repeal the bill and then saying bring it on.
Now as for the racial politics, he said no red state no blue state but look at his book and he says he hung around with chicano’;s marxists, commies, black power types etc as to not be a sell out
He came in and said about the cambridge police and how stupid they acted.
he obviously has a problem with whites especially as the black power racist panthers were let go.
I think he looks back and feel whites need to pay a price for slavery and that blacks were hard done by , They were but today blacks have so much even affirmative action going for them
If we had a fair media they would point out all of this but alas they do not
sorry for the long rant, I could have gone on much longer.LOL
Also shows what a LYING POS he is!
Wasn’t it two weeks ago that he told Chris Wallace that he Absolutely Would Not run as anything other than a RINO .. Uh .. Republican?
some freepers are taking the MSM bait on Rubio.
I knew Rubio would have to watch himself more than anybody because MSM and Dems fear minority conservatives more than anything.
