anyone who knows anything about boats and ‘floating’ knows that in high seas and raging winds, a curved boat will fare much better - it's a matter of aerodynamics - allowing the force to be deflected -

If they hit a straight side, the force on it is much stronger...

I have no way of knowing, but I suspect GOD knew this and instructed Noah correctly - why bother to have him build a boat that would be more prone to capsizing at worst, to much harder buffeting, at least?

Just my humble thoughts on it.
