As I’ve written before here, there is perhaps 5 times more water within the earth’s mantle than in all the oceans on the surface. That is PLENTY of water to flood the highest mountain, should it for some reason erupt to the surface for a season. Couldn't God just send some more water over to the earth from somewhere else or just snapped his fingers and made some more water and then made it disappear? After all, if he changed the rates of isotopic decay and the speed of light ...

How do you get the Water Back into the Mantle after the flood? Most of that water is tied up in the deep earth, if it was brought out at the same time you would have to EXPLODE the planet. Rapid Melting of Continental Ice Sheets after the last Ice Age DID cause real flooding and catastrophic flooding at that.
And if God can snap his fingers and do things like break the laws of physics, maybe his hobby is pestering Federation Starship Captains.
