Tancredo Says Arizona Law Goes Too Far Former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO), who crusaded for tough anti-immigration measures while in Congress, told KDVR-TV that while he supported the new immigration law in Arizona he thought it went too far.
Said Tancredo: "I do not want people here, there in Arizona, pulled over because you look like should be pulled over."

Right, context is always important, and I’m not a fan of Tancredo’s. I still think his comments were unnecessary, and don’t know what prompted him to take a swipe at the bill and police officers.
Said Tancredo: “I do not want people here, there in Arizona, pulled over because you look like should be pulled over.”
This quoted several times in various sources
This is typical of libertarians.
You can’t deal with illegals if you don’t check out
a gathering of Mexicans and Central Americans waiting to
be picked up for farming, construction, etc. or the
person picking them up for example.
Do I need to make a time out place on this thread?! < stern looks all around >
I’ve pretty much stated the same thing just now in my reply to GatorGirl.
I knew the statement that was posted here was not his entire response, so I merely did a quick search and found the article from yesteday.
Arizona’s law should stand all Constitutional challenges. All the talking heads just want to add their “opinions” because they’ve done nothing but talk and Arizona accomplished what they’ve all been talking about.
Tancredo endorsed Huckabee in 08 who is weak on illegals and yesterday came out blasting against the AZ law.
“You cant deal with illegals if you dont check out
a gathering of Mexicans and Central Americans waiting to
be picked up for farming, construction, etc. or the
person picking them up for example.”
Good point.
Moreover, this is well within the “loitering” laws every city has.
I haven’t heard Huckabee’s opinion....
I’m sure it’s a doozie.
source for Palin’s comments please...
“All the talking heads just want to add their opinions because theyve done nothing but talk and Arizona accomplished what theyve all been talking about.”
Man, ain’t THAT the truth.
I appreciate your posting of the whole thing.
“Do I need to make a time out place on this thread?! < stern looks all around >”
Lol. At 48 years old I’ve given up hope of ever out growing my “wiseass” phase. It is however tiring work, and it has in the past caused some severe backlash, mostly with traffic cops and bosses.
This has to be BS!
.
I spot some jealousy too.
PS - Looks like the financial bill is going down: Ben Nelson went with Republicans...lol.
Go to Gov. Brewer’s FB
also Sarah was with Brewer yesterday to show support.
If you don’t want to believe the pics and comments , no problem, some still think the world is flat.
I’m not chasing any facebook comments. What did Palin herself say about the law? Anything?
I absolutely agree. There is a massive illegal immigration problem that the Feds have ignored. But given that people there can be stopped by police to have their citizenship checked, this is DEFINITELY a slippery slope they are going down.
“I spot some jealousy too.”
No doubt....politicians ;-)
“Looks like the financial bill is going down: Ben Nelson went with Republicans...lol.”
You mean the “Goldman Sachs/Barack Obama Consolidation & Preservation Act of 2010” failed?
LOL
Snowe and Collins both stood strong.
Vote was 57 to 41.
Bennett and Bond did not vote.
You don’t want the facts, just an excuse to push the usual lies about Sarah Palin.
