I have no problem with Palin supporting McCain. I don't think she should be condemned for doing so. I also don't think that she should be lavishly praised for it either. It's not unusual for politicians to support incumbents.

Not a pedestal, exactly - but I think due account must be taken of the fact that we watched helplessly while a RINO got the Republican nomination for POTUS in 2008 - and, with an incumbent presumptive nominee in '12, the Democrats could be in position to pull an "Operation Chaos" of their own in the Republican primaries of 2012.Gov. Palin is not the only person who would make a good president; we could do worse than Gov. Haley Barbour, for instance. But it can be argued that, as last election's VP choice "it's her turn," and although I wouldn't buy that argument if Palin were a RINO, it may have a certain weight in some Republican Party circles. I WANT A GOOD CANDIDATE WHO WILL BE A GOOD POTUS - and I fear the possibility that "better" will be the enemy of good enough if we don't coalesce around Palin early.
And that is why I advocate a "Draft Palin" movement early. For what other solid candidate do you think it might be possible to get an unstoppable bandwagon rolling to win the '12 Republican nomination? Palin is a draw.
