Yes he certainly has been in the political scene for at least 30 years. I agree the organized support from Mike Huckabee and Jeb Bush does appear preemptive.
Perhaps it is time for some new blood in Congress.

Have you noticed that the guys who step up on their own, who are conservative, seem to have been systematically preempted by those that seem to feel that they are better king makers than the rest of us?
Huckabee, Bush, Gingrich, Romney, Santorum.
