I think that free speech and liberty ends at outright slander and calumny against someone, Jim. If the guy served in Iraq, and people are running around posting phony evidence and saying that he never served, that's not free speech, that's an outright lie.
Apparently even FR didn't want any part of what this group getting sued was part of because the FR thread referred to in that article, has been pulled.
No one said he never served, that is clear as far as I know
what we also know, is Kokesh, in his own words openly called on troops to desert in time of war in Ansbach Germany and even videotaped himself doing just that
Now, some people in the Ron Paul movement call Kokesh a replica of Barry Goldwater!
Slander? If that is slander, it is slander against Goldwater!
If the guy served in Iraq, and people are running around posting phony evidence and saying that he never served, that's not free speech, that's an outright lie.
We're not saying Kokesh didn't serve, no one is.
The issue began when we learned Kokesh was running as a Republican candidate, and espousing all sorts of consevative ideology; when those of us who have seen him standing with ANSWER, Code Pink, and actively working to undermine troop morale know he is NOT a conservative.
Swiftboat...remember???
