Found this group of pics at
mbl.is that has lots of links to various Icelandic reports and descriptions.
The awesome power of Nature, and the futility of Man's Plans to control it!
By the way - should anyone have the contacts, pass this along:
"Uploading this, we're listening to FOX news report on the eruption. "There will be many business meetings, school plays and important appointments missed," they say. God, FOX is so awesome. If anyone from FOX is reading this, please give yourself a hi-five."

Great photos. Hope you were wearing a mask. That stuff supposedly really messes with the lungs.

Poor Iceland, poor horses. I hope they have shelter for the horses and livestock.

Unless you are Al Gore who can’t control it either.

Obama should have not have mocked God....with his where is Arnageddon comment
President Barack Obama. Leaders of the Republican Party ... called the passage of (the health care reform bill) Armageddon. Armageddon! End of freedom as we know it. So after I signed the bill, I looked around to see if there were any asteroids falling or some cracks opening up in the earth. Turned out it was a nice day. Birds were chirping. Folks were strolling down the Mall.

"This is (was?) Iceland's most fertile farmland" And now you know why. Rich nutrients belched up from the earth. Give it two years and it will be back to very fertile farmland.

Compare those pictures with this photo of a dust storm about to hit Stratford, Texas, in April, 1935:

Rich nutrients belched up from the earth. Give it two years and it will be back to very fertile farmland. True. But meanwhile the livestock dies off and the people vacate, taking their skills with them. Not good for the continuation of their society.

... I looked around to see if there were any asteroids falling or some cracks opening up in the earth. Seems we've had both in the last week. WIsconsin and Iceland may not be close enough to DC for his definition of Armageddon, however.

Obama should have not have mocked God. He can't help it -- he can only mock himself!
