The blogosphere abhors a vacuum. So when the mainstream media (MSM) leave holes in a given narrative -- in this case, the biography of the president -- bloggers individually, incrementally, and indefatigably strive to fill in the blanks -- sometimes successfully, sometimes less so.
In his comprehensive, 600-plus-page biography of Barack Obama titled The Bridge, New Yorker editor David Remnick lays down the baseline of what the mainstream media know about the president -- or at least what they want us to know.

I agree
I know, you’ve written that to me a number of times and I wrote that it’s obvious the photo is altered in some way but we don’t know why or by whom.
It’s a puzzle. Relax, lol.
Thank you onyx.
Oh yes he does, doesn’t he? To me, what’s in the photos that could possibly set off gaydar (besides the cozy seating arrangement) would be the cat poster on the wall and all of the plants!
People used Larry Sinclair’s *shady background* to deny his claims, calling him all kinds of names, etc. “he would never touch that coke head, liar, sleaze bag, f*g, law breaker... etc.
But yet a mere decade earlier Barry chose to live with a coke head, living here illegally, who lied to rent his apt., didn’t have a job, is gay...
They even scoffed at Larry naming the limo driver, Multani because they said Multani is a Pakistani name.
They also claimed Barry hadn’t done drugs since HS, but according to Barry and Siddiqi, Barry was still doing coke and pot up until his third year in college. And just because you stop doing drugs regularly doesn’t necessarily mean you never do them again.
and he and Phil Boerner are still friends and have seen each other recently. There is NO reason to suspect that Phil would release photos that he deemed damaging.
List of obama college friends:
Below is a list of Barack Obamas friends and associates.
Frank Marshall Davis, Communist mentor to Barack Obama and sexual deviant.
Robert McCrary a former classmate at Occidental College. McCrary is now a general manager of a contract sewing company. He saw Obama as cocky, sometimes arrogant...and not open to others.
Paul Carpenter Obamas freshman roommate at Occidental and now a Los Angeles lawyer. Carpenter recalls Obama being a a good body-surfer, an athletic guy, and super-bright.
Margot Mifflin, a friend from Occidental who is now a journalism professor at New Yorks Lehman College.
Jon K. Mitchell a friend from Occidental who now plays bass for the country-swing band Asleep at the Wheel.
Imad Husain a Pakistani and Obamas freshman roommate at Occidental. Husain is now a Boston banker.
Mohammed Hasan Chandoo a wealthy Pakistani friend of Obama when he was a freshman. He is a now a self-employed financial consultant living in Armonk, New York.
Wahid Hamid a wealthy Pakistani friend of Obama when he was a freshmam. Hamid and Obama traveled to Karachi, Pakistan after graduation from Occidental and stayed with the family of Mohammed Hasan Chandoo. Hamid is now a vice president at Pepsico in New York City.
Vinai Thummalapally an Obama college roommate in the summer of 1980. Thummalapally is from Hyderabad, India. Obama visited Hyderabad, India and Karachi, Pakistan during a three week period with Wahid Hamid after his graduation from Occidental. He is president of a CD and DVD manufacturing company in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Sohale Siddiqi is identified as Sadik in Obamas memoir, Dreams From My Father, and is described as a short, well-built Pakistani who smoked marijuana, snorted cocaine and liked to party. Siddiqi was from Karachi, Pakistan, and Obamas roommate when he attended Columbia University. Siddiqi was not a student at Columbia and became an illegal alien having over stay his tourist visa. Obama knew Saddiqi when he visited Chandoo and Hamid at Occidental. Siddiqi claims Obama stopped using drugs when he arrived at Columbia. Siddiqi is a recovering drug addict and now lives in Seattle working for a community theater.
Phil Boerner A transfer student from Occidental College and roommate of Obamas when they were living together in New York City.
Andrew Roth knew Obama at Occidental College and in New York City. Roth said that back then The thought...never crossed my mind that he would be our first black president.
Cassandra Butts a friend from law school who now works at the Center for American Progress. Of Obama she said, People see in him what they want to see.
Michael Froman a friend from law school and now an executive at Citigroup.
Laurence Tribe a professor at Harvard who said Obama was one of his two best students. He had a very powerful ability to synthesize diverse sources of information
His “friend” looks like David Koresh.
[looks like something different to me ]
I am excellent in judging distance and proportion since I’ve worked with graphics so long. The wrist and finger areas past the leg are in proportion.
What I ‘think’ I see is Obama’s wrist and possibly a wristwatch with a tan wristband. The lighter area is square in shape and looks like the face of a watch. There is blurriness due to my enlargement.
You’ll have to judge for yourself.

The look om his face as he hugs each guy.....creepy.
Great pictoral though!
How did we miss this before?
This picture and the accompanying story ran in a NY Times blog back on January 20, 2009, the week before the inauguration of Barack Obama.
Here we see our current president in a picture from his college days, sitting next to his self-professed best friend and roommate, Sohale Siddiqi. These photos were taken in 1981, according to the NYT article. And by the way, isnt that sofa upholstery the same material as Michelle Obamas Inauguration Day outfit?
And who took the picture? Obamas other roommate, Phil Boerner, who was the voluntary source of these pictures and was interviewed for the blog article in NYT from January. His picture is below, but please dont peek ahead!
Here is a quote from that blog:
Mr. Boerner, who lives in California and is a registered Democrat, said he had kept his recollections to himself during the campaign, but thought he would share them now as his friend makes history.
Who are these people? Where have they been? And where are they now? And more importantly, what did they have to hide during the campaigns?
Is either of them married? Are they normal family men now, successful in their careers? Can they pass a UA?
Why were they silent and unknown during the election? Did someone ask them to hide in spider holes until after the election? Was a hint of cement shoes involved?
Is it just me, or does this seem kind of hinky? Weve been asking each other and the world for the last year, Where are Obamas friends from his youth? And, like our questions about his school records and other documentation from his adult past, those questions go unanswered. Even the crickets are mum.

3 degrees of separation from Obama
I was surprised to find out that my friend and, some time running buddy (he’s really too fast for me now), Phil Boerner, has a close tie to President Obama. It turns out that Phil was Barack’s roommate when they were in college together in the arly 80’s. Of course Phil, in all his modesty, never mentioned this during the election but now the news is out.
Here is Phil’s description of those days.
I think he should be able to parlay that relationship into a night in the Lincoln bedroom, or maybe not, perhaps Barack remembers Phil’s banjo playing and just doesn’t want to be reminded of those days.
Wait another minute. While you were searching, I conducted one of my own. Alison Leigh Cowan's articles on the NYT's are all listed chronologically, but one is missing.... you guessed it.... Recollections of Obamas Ex-Roommate.... can only be found provided you know the title of the article! It's not listed under the author and I think I know why:
She and the NYT blew it when they published the uncropped photo. A/P only published the cropped version.
Buahahahahaha!
That “arm” appears to have a club hand or helmet.
LOL!!!
