As a visitor to NOLA, without any deep knowledge of how this quaint and colorful place is actually mis-ruled, or run, I must, must I tell you, share an opinion with youse.

I think the Jindal Balloon made a trial ascent. It didn't work out, and he's no longer the hoped-for Saviour of Our Party. I think, by all accounts, he has been a much better Governor than Governess Blanco. But after her performance, I'd venture to say that's a pretty damn low bar!

National stage? IMHO, outa the question. There's this other little thing about Article II. Just because Obama has made a Constitutional shambles of Presidential Eligibility, it doesn't necessarily follow that we shoukld support another violation. Jindal's parents were not citizens until after he was born. End of story. Keep governing that mess until you get it right, Bobby, and we'll seeya around, OK?

The silence on the beat-down is also very very aggravating. This is a leader? Nah! This guy (by me anyway) is perceived as a dweebish, timid, efficient, probably honest, number-cruncher, which is what LA ... and especially NOLA, need right now. Keep'im at it!

I also think his pathetic non-reaction to the attack on his people is painful to watch. But Bobby ain't alone. I don't see any other Republicans stepping up. I don't see it on TV, and I don't here it from those former disc jockeys who, for some cosmic reason are the philosphers of the Republican Party.

Bobby, if you got a shot in you, Man, for God's sake, take it. NOW.

Agree with all your points. Strong conclusion above!

I’ve been thinking the same thing for quite a while.

He’s not constitutionally qualified.

And he’s not up to the job. He’s a fairly decent governor, but no way he should be POTUS.
