2-3K looks about right. It looks like the trees on the right are hiding a number of people, but no way to tell how many.

Nice shot. From the roof of the CHP?

It was from the crane that was at the end of the Capital Circle that had the BIG flag hanging down from it.

Look at how relaxed the Policemen look....

The media should ask law enforcement about the differance between Tea Partiers and Leftist rally’s lol

My pics aren't as professional as yours, but my husband had some fun shooting the creative signs at the event. It was great to be able to attend--even if I could only be there for the first hour (darn meetings I couldn't get out of!)

Here are a few photos. You can see more at http://the4thhorseman.wordpress.com/2010/04/16/sacramento-tax-day-tea-party-photos-april-15-2010/.

I was honored and happy to attend today with my brother, sister and sister-in-law, all fervent patriots who can yell, cheer and whistle like nobody’s bidnizz. It was great to be among so many like-minded people. One source of laughs were the people holding big arrow signs that read, “Obvious Infiltrator” and they’d stand next to fake tea partiers, pointing the arrow at them.

The music was exciting, especially the song about the writing of the Star Spangled Banner. Beautiful. Tear-producing. I can’t wait to go to another one.

It was a very good sized crowd. There were also people on the L street side (left side of photos) that don’t show up. It was bigger than the photos indicate.

I couldn’t stay long, but it was great seeing so many show up.

For those who may remember...1984, the day before Reagan’s blowout, the west steps of the Capitol, with Frank Sinatra, Rosie Greer and the Man himself...there were more people in attendance, but this comes real close.
