Madison, Wis. (AP) -- A federal judge in Wisconsin says the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb issued the ruling Thursday in a lawsuit filed by the Madison-based Freedom From Religion Foundation.

This judge(????) is nuts! An official day of prayer is not exactly analogous to "establishing" a religion. Is there much doubt this will be overturned? The depths to which lefty judges will go to make work for their "profession" is nothing short of amazing. TRULY a waste of taxpayers' money.
She “retired” from fulltime last year so she could concentrate on destroying whatever is left of God references in this country. http://www.wisbar.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Home&TEMPLATE=/CM/ContentDisplay.cfm&CONTENTID=83307
God will not be amused when she is brought before Him during her judgement.
Let’s have a Socialist-Communist Day! Hug your neighbor and steel his walet in the name of social justice.
My first thought as well. Just another judge who can't read plain english.
Yup, Christmas is next. Then there is New Years Day, which which discriminates against Chinese New Year parades. And what about Mothers Day, which promotes the impregnating of women, a form of slavery. And don’t forget Fathers Day, which was obviously propounded as a celebration of all that is oppressive.
That leaves three hundred and fifty nine more days to outlaw before America is fundamentally transformed. As we begin address this challenge, we face a looming crisis in the supply of lawyers, judges, and watchdog groups. Are we up to the challenge? The whole world is watching. If the rest of the world’s inhabitants are not laughing their asses off right now, they would have to be as silly as we are.
Cmon, what do you expect from a Judge named CRABB!!
Good name for a Jimmuh Cahtuh appointee.
I want this idiot judge to starting holding court on Christmas.
steeling my wallet against my government!
placemark for pingout.
I think I saw her at the bar in a Deep Space Nine episode.
Drinking with the Ferengi.
This judge ought to be taken out of his position. He does not know the constitution at all.
And if you do want to pray, then do.
I've never understood why believers want to get government involved in religion in any way except upholding people's right to practice the one they choose. What kind of believer wants the government telling them this or that is a day of prayer? The whole concept goes against the conservative idea of getting government off our backs.
If the government has a right to declare a day of prayer, what other rights does it have in terms of dictating religious practices?
nominated by President Jimmy Carter
Said it all - say no more.
Why the Indians of course. Or indirectly Gia, since the Indians were at one with nature.
And Congress says?...
It is all but gone from Public Schools already, should have started worrying a long time ago.
Lets just form two countries and get it over with...
Sounds good to me. Other countries did it why can’t we. No use butting heads all the time and the rads will have a place to go and the conservatives can live in peace, pray out loud, salute the flag, lower their taxes, balance their budgets, jail their child molesters and sex offenders - sounds great.
So who asked him? The judge needs to shut up, and not stop shutting up.
