The next time a democrat implies Republicans are protecting Wall St., point them to this article.

Maybe the so called ‘elites’ at these firms ought to stick to their business and not buying off dems.

They get what they deserve from the ba$tard$ they paid off.

I have no sympathy for GS—this is what you get for playing with the devil.

I do hope more business execs do a Howard Hughes 1947 type pushback on Congress’ rear end—in public.

The Congressional Democrats are the most corrupt anti-business and anti-American Congress I have ever seen.

Democrats are the enemy of freedom. They are the Communist Party of America now—and that is not hyperbole.

It could not happen to a better choice. I don’t want to see them just under the thumb of their payees, I want to see them all IN JAIL, sharing a cell with Bubba.

One of the attendees told Reid that Wall Street, and Goldman in particular, is being “persecuted by the Democratic Party.” Another complained that Goldman, as a “long-term, major supporter of the Democratic Party,” was tired of being publicly attacked.

Cohn may have been the most vociferous, according to one person with knowledge of the meeting. “You are sitting here with a room full of Democrats and all you do is beat us up!” he said, according to this person.”

Liz, how do you like this for subterfuge?

LOL.

This was done for political cover, to fool the Stupid Party

The Obama/Rahm/Goldman Sachs Takeover Act of 2010.

I will take their outrage seriously when they stop funding the democrats and stop triangulating on schemes like Capn Tax to enrich themselves off the suffering of our overtaxed overregulated society

imho, Gelded Sachs is the epitome of everything wrong with Wall Street. They are making money now by speculating on rope futures - for the rope that will someday hang them all.

This phenomenon has always amazed me. Dimon is among the most intellectually nimble men in the United States. You know his hard work ethic is obvious to get to the seat that ole JP himself once held. You know he understands what those that came before us did to ensure that his drive to the top would self-actualize. So how in the hell does a Jamie Dimon become a friggin’ democrat ? How does this happen ? They believe in nothing that he lived his individual life on. And, the list is endless. Robert Ruben. The former NJ Governor, etc. How does this happen ?

...no mention that Goldman paid back the government with inyerest...if the owners of the company(the shareholders) want to pay big salaries to employees then so what?...my GS shares have made me 14% this year and that’s a lot better than I’m getting at the bank.

Of all the Obama voters, I feel the least sorry for Cohn, Goldman Sachs and the rest of the 'fat cat' wall street types. How could they not see the blatant anti-capitalist, devoted socialist snake clearly and then support and vote for him?

tired of being publicly attacked

But... you have to have a villain.

Ground-swell anger can only occur if you have a villain. Whether created by impression or real, you gotta have a villain.

That is how Obama got his healthcare bill through -- he created villains. Villains of the insurance companies, the drug companies, the scalpel-happy doctors who where cutting off limbs and cutting out organs, etc.

Wall Street and associates make good villains. After all, look at the hoardes of money they get for bonuses, etc.
