TRACY CITY, Tenn. (WTVC-TV) - A dead man has been elected mayor in Tracy City, Tenn.
Carl Robin Geary received 268 votes Tuesday to 85 for incumbent Barbara Brock.
Donna Basham, administrator of the Grundy County Election Commission, said Wednesday that the city council will now have to appoint a mayor. The term is four years.
She said Geary died suddenly a few weeks ago. She would not speculate about why he won but said his death was widely reported at the time in the small southeastern Tennessee town.
Brock had been appointed mayor approximately a year ago when the then-mayor died.

I agree with you in principle, but he’s term limited out.
GWashington has also served two terms.
