I take it you mean an electoral loser. He’s had success in other professional pursuits. Most of us have never ourselves had *any* electoral success. At least Keyes has tried. In any case I like Keyes fierce American revivalism.
I do not agree with 3rd parties in most cases (like the AIP under which Keyes ran and which EV is the chairman I believe) - NY 23 being a good exception (although not quite successful).
Why would he want to eliminate defense. It is the main Federal Constitutional resposibility. Unlike EPA, Education etc.
Steele needs more time. Made sense today on radio; he needs support to find if he'll come around.

RINO stands for "Republican in Name Only"...and Ron Paul is closer to remaining true to the GOP's platform than many others who have morphed it over the past few decades.
And Ronald Reagan advocated a Big Tent, including people like Mr. Steele. So Ron Paul is acting VERY Reaganesque...just like Sarah Palin was when she threw her support behind Mr. Steele.
