I can see the ads for a Paul/0bama showdown (with apologies to Hershey):

"Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometime you feel like an American-hating communist."

I guess this throws cold water on that CNN poll, especially the fact that O is losing to an unnamed Tea Party candidate. Tough day at CNN’s polling section.

These ‘polls’ smell like sabatoge to me. Palin clearly holds that the Constitution is the law of the Land and demonstrated that during her Governorship. Paul, although he may ‘sound’ like that as well, is somewhat of a kook. His strong point is the Fed but I would never trust a man like that with the defense and security of this country.

Ron Paul 2012, Too Old, Too Crazy....

Seriously I think the only good thing you could have Ron Paul do is act as an attack dog against the fed and put him in a position to oversee an in depth investigatuion of the Federal Reserve. But keep him far far away from foreign policy.

Paul has the message half right, and the part he has right is very important—that we need very small government and that the Fed is dangerous.

I’m still hoping for DEMINT/MCDONNELL 2012!

Ok well at least Demint.

Is there a website that tells the truth about Paul? Something that goes issue by issue. My husband's friend is a Paul supporter. He is trying to talk my husband into Paul, but I’m sure is telling him only things my husband would agree with. My husband finally woke up politically after he saw what obama was doing. I’ve been trying for years to make him see he does NOT need to split his vote. He wanted to see independent. Look where that got him.

Obama and Ron Paul have a lot in common.

1. They both were foolish enough to believe the findings of the 911 commission while apposing the Iraq war.

2. They Both have the same lenient view on marijuana use and have been irresponsible as leaders explaining any negative consequences.

3. They both have been beneficiaries of George Soro's financial support for God knows what in return.

Ron Paul is a bad joke. As it happens, I agree with a lot of what he says—but unfortunately he is both corrupt and crazy. Except when there’s a straw poll he has a chance to rig, he is the eternal 3 percenter, the third party spoiler.

But.

Unless the RNC and the party come to their senses, we might just end up with yet another loser—Mitt Romney or Ron Paul. Because they absolutely refuse to get their act together and get behind any decent conservative candidates.

I wouldn’t put it past Michael Steele to arrange to nominate one of those two, just to see the party lose again. Those guys just LOVE TO LOSE.

I’m with you... so many times I say to myself this guy is crazy. But then there comes a time when I say this guy was right again..... the way he delivers his ideas scares most away but his message is more spot on than anything I have ever heard from O Bummer.

I personally think they are trying to force a 3 way race to split the conservative vote.

“I am starting to wonder about the accuracy of Rasmussen polls. No way, nada, zero chance of Ron Paul beating Obama. Heck, I dont even see a chance of him winning the GOP nomination. Am I missing something here?”

Drudge had this right when he called it a ‘shock poll.’ That’s about all you need to know about it. But it gives us a good chance to discuss the weird Ron Paul ‘bone fides’ like the following. Add to the list please!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2492525/posts?page=90#90
**Earmarks are constitutional?
**He believes the government knocked down the WTC on 9-11.
**Anyone who hangs out with Alex Jones is a nut. Period.
**He wants to turn over monetary policy to Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer and Charlie Rangel.
**He thinks surrender is a foreign policy.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2492525/posts?page=95#95

**Endorsed the Anti-War Kook Adam Kokesh
**Aligned himself with the Green Party, Code Pink, Progressives, etc.
**Stated that we didn’t need to fight the Civil War, it would have worked itself all out on it’s own.
**Bad mouths wasteful spending, then loads up bills he knows will pass and he knows he won’t vote for with pork and then votes against the Bill.

He has been off his game since the Scott Brown election.

Shortly after the weird crash at his site.

We’re not really at risk of a Ron Paul presidency, but we are at risk of having a losing Mitt Romney nominee because Paul siphons off enough enthusiastic and liberty-loving (but naive) votes that should be going to Palin in the early primaries. I think there should be some sort of respectful reach out to the Ron Paul voters to bring them into the fold of reason.
