World leaders arriving in Washington for President Obama's Nuclear Security Summit must have felt for a moment that they had instead been transported to Soviet-era Moscow.
They entered a capital that had become a military encampment, with camo-wearing military police in Humvees and enough Army vehicles to make it look like a May Day parade on New York Avenue, where a bicyclist was killed Monday by a National Guard truck.
In the middle of it all was Obama -- occupant of an office once informally known as "leader of the free world" -- putting on a clinic for some of the world's greatest dictators in how to circumvent a free press.
The only part of the summit, other than a post-meeting news conference, that was visible to the public was Obama's eight-minute opening statement, which ended with the words: "I'm going to ask that we take a few moments to allow the press to exit before our first session."

(Hey, message to the media: you created this disaster, now you deal with it)
So, Dana, perhaps you made a terrible mistake in campaigning for Obama?
They’re just upset because Barry went on a Larry Sinclair/ nose candy run a few days ago and didn’t tell anybody.
(Which is still suspicious to me.)
Meanwhile Gibbs assuaged the press corps by noting that an Iranian nuke was “at least a year away”.
Dana would have been absolutely hysterical if GWB had pulled the same stunt. Not to worry - the ComPost is still safely on 0’s plantation.
How long will the press let Obama rub their nose in their mess?
As with all dictators, first they avoid the media, then they take over the media.
How extreme must this communist’s goals be if he is afraid of a media that is on his side?
The question of whether O was born in Hawaii or Kenya fades in comparison to the TREASONOUS actions he’s displayed since being “elected” “President”. Destroying our economy, apologizing for American exceptionalism, disarming the United States - these are cause for a firing squad or a gallows.
what is the so-called issue here? Of course discussions on this topic between world leaders should NOT have been opened up to the press. Of all the things to criticize Obama this isn’t one of them.

amazingly enough, the comments appear to be predominantly antiMSM and antiObama.
Many on FR think it was to chastise the Kenyan Embassy for what was said in the Parliament about him being born in Kenya and not a native American. Reports are he went to R Street and that's where the embassy is located.
You’d think these losers in the MSM would use this opportunity to go buy some new kneepads.
Has anyone noticed the Logo for the Nuclear Summit looks like a crescent and star within a circle ? ,,,,, I’d say that was strange , but hardly nothing surpises me lately
And I can't place my finger on it, but I saw another Obama Administration logo within the past week that was clearly a crescent and star image.
He's not being subtle.
There have been other hints in past; and certainly, the ‘ONE’s’ disappearance from radar screen on Saturday was another. When will they figure it out. Useful idiots are just that; no more.
The Press and OThuga have the same owners and bosses.
pulling similar puppet strings.
Was discused here at FR some time ago. And met with a 'yawn' and attributed to over-active imagination by MSM. A
And yes, about same time, a Medal, worn by Military, I think was mentioned as well; it had been changed/added. ..and yes; a grim similarlity to Muslim ID. . .could probably google to find. OR. ..a freeper may have info/pic./link.
We have only to look at Obama's logo to 'get it'. . .or get him. It amazes me that people proudly put this on their car - in liu of American flag which it cancels out - no matter what these Obama 'patriots' think.
