You totally lost me.
I have no idea where you are coming from with these two terms: ‘Positive rights’ and ‘Right to action’.
I like to stay informed so I went googling. I see these are Libertarian terms.
In case you haven’t noticed; I find Libertarian viewpoints liberal, morally deficient and contemptable.
So when I read that you belive that gay marriage is a positive right, then I really, really wonder how you libs manage to stay on board here on this conservative site.

A positive right is a right that imposes an obligation on someone else. For instance, if there is a right to health care it means that someone else is obligated to provide you health care.
I believe that gay marriage is a positive right because it would obligate others (for instance, employers who offer spousal benefits) to recognize the union as a marriage.
I think maybe I didn’t make it clear that I don’t believe in positive rights. When I say that gay marriage is a positive right, that means I’m against it.
I think we’re on the same side of this issue.
