April 11, 2010 Richard Dawkins: I Will Arrest Pope Benedict XVI Marc Horne
Atheist campaigner Richard Dawkins RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain for crimes against humanity.
Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.
The pair believe they can exploit the same legal principle used to arrest Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, when he visited Britain in 1998.
The Pope was embroiled in new controversy this weekend over a letter he signed arguing that the good of the universal church should be considered against the defrocking of an American priest who committed sex offences against two boys. It was dated 1985, when he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which deals with sex abuse cases.

Wow, Tom Clancy to paedophile Catholic priests, world-wide.
You must write a novel. I insist!
As repeatedly mentioned before, none of it is in the Gita.
Show me a Gita verse like I did with 1 Samuel 15: 3.
That is all.
a) they have nothing to quote from the Gita
and)
b) the Gita is the only relevant place to look.
But we have the Thuggees own beliefs that they were serving Kali by murdering people.
Cheers!
Just like he uses one verse from the OT to condemn, well anyone he wants-most likely God, but also Judaism and Christianity, he uses on verse from the Gita to justify the entire religion of Hinduism in light of their barbaric history.
He’s big on ignoring the obvious about a religion and portraying it differently than everyone else sees it based on ONE verse, as if that one verse is all there is to that religion.
It’s not working. He’s the only one fooled.
A JOT of cyanide, is all that it takes, to kill a man.
What "specific reason" sanctions the ritual slaughter of children and infants? Pray, tell.
So, you’re admitting that the Gita has none of the vile stuff like 1 Samuel 15: 3?
Calling Thuggies Hindus, is like calling the Branch Davidians, Catholics.
You tell me. How does Hinduism justify it?
All of Hinduism is condemned by the CURRENT practice of child sacrifice which is NOT what I Samuel 15:3 was about anyway.
The killing there was punishment for the actions of the tribe, not for the lousy excuse of worshiping some sort of deranged deity who could only be appeased through blood letting.
World of difference there.
You have only my word, because you eloquently declared earlier that you don’t wish to make the effort to investigate, yourself.
You put up a hissy-fit, and then blame me for not playing along. You’re special. Did anyone ever tell you that?
If its not sanctioned in the Gita, then where’s the fault?
What crime deserves punishment by way of divinely-ordered slaughtering infants and children, donkeys and horses?
You are avoiding this from the get-go. Why is that? Is it because you yourself have failed to reconcile with the said verse? Do tell!
The Thuggees claim to be worshipping Kali BY their murders.
I asked for their basis for that claim; the refutation of that claim by orthodox Hindus; and the rules by which Hindus distinguish heretics from orthodox believers.
All you did in response was give one verse, with NO context as to its own text, or its relation to Kali and/or the Thuggees; no quotes from the Thuggees; no description of doctrinal dissemination; and then try to change the subject.
100% pure TROLL.
Two words: The Gita.
If it is not sanctioned by it, it’s not part of the faith.
Now that was a show.
But your word is not sufficient because you are a troll.
Cheers!
And who performs the parsing of texts and the historical interpretation and translations of the original texts into various modern dialects?
And who guarantees the correctness of the interpretation?
And again, we only have your word for it, troll-boy.
Cheers!
I’ve loved that show, for ages.
Too bad they axed it.
Nickelodeon used to have some good shows. The Adventures of Pete and Pete comes to mind. Of course, shows in Australia arrived years after they ran their course in the States.
The Gita!
It explicitly mentions it in the first verse I posted here. Do read!
Circular reasoning is invalid.
Nighty night, troll boy.
